To me it appears that the shine on the tongue is exactly the same in both photos. How likely is that?

The outlines of the upper and lower lip and maxillary and mandibular incisors are identical.

Also...the outline of the nose and nostrils appear to be absolutely identical.

To get this exact match, the photographer would have to be at the same exactly angle in both photos and the lighting would need to be identical in order to get the same shine on the tongue.

Again....How likely is that?

Very likely ....it’s faked....and there are those who have shown how it’s done. They superimpose the photo and then dress it accordingly....further he’d have to have dyed his beard, from the most recent photos we have of him alive it’s almost white...and the dye would not have left the grey streaks.
