I would like to see the media simply talk about avoiding military service, not just avoiding military service 40 or 50 years ago as though today it is OK.

It should be a simple matter of record what his number was. Mine was 325. I’ll never forget that. It’s odd that Trump referred to it as “very very high” instead of reeling off the number.

I’m not a big fan of Trump’s, but if they want to put a dent in his approval they’ll have to find something stronger than what B.J. Clinton did. So he could dodge the draft, sell half our military secrets to the ChiComs, get Lewinskis from every supermodel and Playboy bunny he’s had on Apprentice while on the phone, kill off a couple of inconvenient associates, let a few more associates go to the hoosegow in his stead, and smoke weed like Tommy Chong in Amsterdam and he’d STILL be more acceptable than any Democrat.
great, the press won’t even talk about obama’s selective service irregularities (e.g. an SSN that was from a state he never lived in, etc.), but knows that trump getting student deferrment then getting 1y deferment (not that anyone knows what for) is going to be a big deal. It is picking people off here right now, who have virtually no knowledge of the circumstances of his situation.
He apparently did finish school (unlike the perpetual undergrads I have read about). That right there says a lot.
By what year was it becoming clear that the war was so badly managed that going was not necessarily the smartest thing to specifically try to do? FYI, I think we are definitely well beyond that point in afghanistan now.
