Nobody wanted to be drafted, big whoop. A free country does not draft.
Not defending the hypocrite Trump here, but...
Dick Cheney avoided his war with multiple student deferments. He said “I had other priorities.”
Let’s not forget the guy with the bad hair is not alone in this.
I would like to see the media simply talk about avoiding military service, not just avoiding military service 40 or 50 years ago as though today it is OK.
He must be a strict constitutionalist then.
The war was never declared.
Where were Clinton and Bush?
Kerry went and got THREE PURPLE HEARTS (rice in the keister).
Gore went and nearly won the war all by hisself.
At least Rumsfeld did his bit (as did my daddy: 35 years an active Marine and 3 tours in VN).
Chickenhawking is a sore point with me.
/I volunteered and failed my PIP.
//the Navy wanted nothing to do with my minor heart condition
It is rediculous when we wont fight a war right..... Bomb and slaughter all until the enemy surrenders.... Carpet bomb all until dead or surrender... Screw them.... Our soldiers deserve to live first......
It should be a simple matter of record what his number was. Mine was 325. I’ll never forget that. It’s odd that Trump referred to it as “very very high” instead of reeling off the number.
Didn’t Clinton have a questionable draft record?
So Fox and the rest of our so-called media has been 1/10 this diligent uncovering details about Obama’s past...
Right?
By “bad hair” you mean Biden, he got several deferments.

I wasn’t old enough but did serve in the Air Force. I just think its a tired old tactic of the leftists. They see no problem with avoiding the war but will certainly use it as a lever to try and hurt someone they don’t like.
As long as they didn’t run to Canada, the UK, or an AA gun in Hanoi I really don’t care if they used the system to avoid military service. The military isn’t improved by draftees.
So what?
This sort of thing was prevalent among today’s political class. Now they’re the worse chickenhawks imaginable.
worse = worst
I’ve been grading research papers all day. My head hurts.
I was 315, 1972 as I remember.
