If things remain as they are in the Republican Primary field, especially if Sarah decides not to run, then Michelle seems to be a good choice for a conservative to vote for.
Nobody is perfect but she seems okay. Hermain Cain isn't too bad either. Both these people are great conservatives, its just a question of how much support they will be able to get.
We need someone with (1) the right ideas who can (2) articulate those ideas in the ring.
While Pawlenty, Romney, and Huckabee all fail test #1, I’m not sure that Bachman passes test #2. She has the right ideas, but there’s just too much Minnesota nice in her presentation.
We need a candidate with her ideas and Trump’s presentation of them.
If you could somehow come up with an anti-aging formula for Pat Buchanan, he could run away with 2012.
I’d vote for either Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, or Chris Christie... if they were running. While I think Hermann Cain is pretty good, I think he’d be hampered by his lack of experience in the government arena (ie: dealing with Congresscritters).
Or maybe Herman would lead people to say “Who?”
And Cain would be confused with McCain...
Not everything involves conspiracies, space aliens, and Xenu... you know.
Then, why not just give up and nominate Romney?
Are you claiming a conservative can't beat Obama?
Wonderful...So, only RINOs can beat Obama?
The same thing was being said back when Reagan was running and it is just as wrong a contention today as it was then.
He is liar and flip-flopper with hideous liberal record that includes a health care law that is comparable to Obamacare.
” Yes attractive and yes she let her rip, but I am not convinced she is smart enough “
Hell - she’s 10 times smarter than Bush # 2 !
Go West !
Yep. That did it for me too. I don’t understand how she could sit there and say she takes Odumba’s word for it that he was born in Hawaii, knowing full well that he tells lies like crazy.
She should know better. Odumba has lied and broke practically all of his campaign promises. He is a liar. I don’t trust him on anything.
That's fine. We can agree to disagree.
We'll have this question answered soon enough.
I know. In fact Hunter was in Congress 16 years, and he didn’t make it either. Michelle Bachman is a Congresswoman. I don’t know why people from the House make it to the White House but once or twice in our history. So where do we go from here? No Romney, no Gingrich, no Paul, and for heaven sake, NO ROVE!
TYPO.....Hunter was in Congress 26 years.
Oh please...are you really comparing Reagan to Palin, Bachmann, etc? Please...really? Reagan won because he was Reagan. Big time Governor from a BIG TIME state. Something Palin, Bachmann, et al do not have. The comparisons of continuing to bring up Reagan are laughable.
He was my governor and no way in hell should he be confused with any conservatives you are throwing out there as somehow equivalent.
Darn, an assault weapon ban. You mean something that most Americans also agree with...certain guns shouldn’t be out on the streets. Wow, he’s so out of touch.
Big difference between signing an assault weapons ban and it leading to the repeal of the 2nd Amendment, but that seems to be where you are going...unfortunately.
Yes we will. Happy to place a small wager...I hope you are right, but I know that she’s got no chance in hell.
In today’s world, I think it would be tough for a conservative in YOUR definition could win. There are plenty of candidates conservative enough on most issues that can win, but the ‘pure’ conservative that so many here want...I don’t think has a prayer. The country is too divided.
You got to be kidding,I wont even bother arguing with that one.
You might want to do a little research on what he considers an assault weapon and then get back to me.
Your post really makes you look ignorant on this issue or are you on the wrong forum?
Am I on the wrong forum? What is that supposed to be mean?
Oh, that’s right, if someone has a slightly different view on things they must not be “pure” and not allowed to post here.
Sorry Eaker, I support gun rights for the vast majority. I have no problem taking down assault weapons. If that makes me “less conservative” than you, than so be it. It hardly makes me a supporter of a liberal who would like to take guns away entirely. There’s a difference....a HUGE difference.
You might want to do some research on who came up with that bill, by the way...plenty of pro-gun folks.
