In case you were wondering whether yesterday could get any more surreal, the answer is: yes. After his birth certificate presser where he scolded the press and called Donald Trump a "carnival barker" President and Mrs. Obama got on a plane to Chicago to go do the Oprah Winfrey show. But if they were hoping for a birther pass from their most high profile supporter they were mislead.

It’s not real! It was manufactured for the tonight show or conan, that kind of show.
She asked a very salient question and good for her.
If that bc is a real one, there is not one good reason I can think of for him holding it back for so long. I can’t think of a bad reason, either, except to indulge some sort of orneriness. Orneriness that has cost fantastic sums of money and people’s freedom to indulge.
A candid answer would have gone something like,
Look, Oprah, you and I are both from Chicago. We are both from the Community. And we both know how a community organizer with a shrewd reptilian brain thinks, what his innate instincts are when evaluating the proper response to a political challenge. When this first came up two and half years ago, I was annoyed, but I did what I naively thought at the time would definitively answer the question of my birth. I obtained my birth certificate from my birth place and released it to the world. I let FactCheck.org in to hold it in their hands and photograph it.
That solved the problem for all but a noisy band of kooks who continued to spin theories out of whole cloth and make forgeries and spread false rumors. But the world wasn't buying it, and it was clear the whackos were harming their own side far more than me. So, I did what a community organizer does in such situations: Nothing. When the other side is hurting themselves more than you, you don't get in their way, do you? Oh, I'd make an occasional joke about it just to test the reaction and keep the crazies wee-wee'd up. But, basically, I was just ignoring it.
However, as you know, recently the situation began to change. This noisy carnival barker actually started intruding on my ability to communicate with the American people about the future of America, such as my gazillion-dollar budget for America's future. So, I took action to stop the distraction once and for all. But not to worry, my assistant who prepared the digital file we released assures me that, while the content is 100% genuine, there are enough layers and digital artifacts in the file, along with such curiosities as my Dad's race and the serial number, to keep the Ron Polariks of this world and those pesky Freepers making noise through 2016. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is satisfied the doubters are just the marginal nutcases we've always had on the right in this country.

And that’s where Obama falls flat on his a$$....The rest of the world doesn’t vote here and his so called “marginal nut cases” are a hell of a lot more in number than he thinks.....

The answer is very revealing. Obfuscation. He could have released it long before. And he blames it on the policy in Hawaii. He was fighting the release of the document in the courts for over two years. Why was he doing that?
I will keep repeating this over and over again. The news headlines are misleading the public. The key word the news media wants you to swallow is the word “RELEASE”. There was no “RELEASE” of records. Obamas records are still “SEALED”. Trump did not get him to “RELEASE” his records. All Trump was able to do was get Obama to print another “FAKE” document. There is no way to verifiy this document unless Obama allows Hawaii DOH to follow standard FOIA regulations. Fat Chance!

He had to arrange for a special courier to fly to Hawaii, pick up the certificate from the Hawaiian DHS, and hand carry it back!
He could have much more easily had it mailed directly to any favored newshound lapdog.
Instead we have a mystery worthy of a Sherlock Holmes story:

Why go through the extra effort, time, expense and huge carbon footprint to have a document hand carried?
In a word, provenance. A document delivered directly by mail from the source is much less apt to be substituted with a forged document containing a preferred message than one hand carried by the trusted and hand picked minion of a person with an overwhelming vested interest the the delivery of a document saying exactly what the minion's hand picker wants it to say.
But that would be silly.
Who would lie to hold onto the most powerful office in the world?
Ever watch Judge Judy, or Judge Joe Brown and listen and watch their behavior?
After Trump gets throught with him, get him to Judge Judy as there is no manhood left in the ONE for Judge Joe Brown to save and promote.
