Quick posting...buried in an avalanche of work.
Someone told me the other day that Wiki claimed that Jindal’s and Rubio’s parents were ALL naturalized before their births in 1971.
That is mighty strange because I have read quotes from Jindal in which he states that his folks were STILL Indian citizens when he was born.
As for my main, MAIN man, Marco Rubio: I have been asking him for the truth about his folks for months and all I get back is evasion and smiles. Other FReepers tell me about similar responses. One very active Fla FReeper said she is sure that Marco’s folks were naturalized by 1971 but neither she or anyone else I know can cite documentation.
Plus he has the added complication of Castro’s regime claiming him as a dual citizen.(minor to us...but imagine how that factoid would set off the Left!)
I also think the NBC issue is being supressed due to the massive amounts of immigration we have been experiencing. We wouldn’t want to hold back Ivan, who was born in Brooklyn in 1975 of Russian citizen parents, now would we? So discriminatory! Why, Ivan is the salt of the earth! It would be IMPOLITIC to not let him run! (all figurative and hypothetical, of course).
That’s the key: we are letting POLITICS determine the interpretation of the Constitution. That is the province of the SCOTUS and, ultimately, the People. No legislature, politician, media personality, or journalist can define what the Constitution says.

Whatever it is "they" fear will happen if the issue is given proper vetting in the appropriate court, whomever they fear will hang for it, whatever the racial repercussions might be ignited, all of it MUST be stopped and will be stopped.
The issue will be ignored, the details obfuscated.
Those who bring it up will be ignored until they can't be ignored any longer, then ridiculed.
I hate to admit to agreeing with something Michelle once believed, but I am not now proud of my country or what leadership we've let happen.

The Israelites were begging for a king——but their OWN king, not some foreign despot. Philistine, Egyptian, or whatever.

Too much immigration isn’t just an economic challenge. It is a cultural and national identity challenge. If we don’t put on the breaks, we are going to think of ourselves as a people much different from what our grandparents understood as American.
That is why we have to be STRICT AS HELL about who we let run for president. AMERICAN IDENTITY first.
The best way to ensure that? By enforcing the strict construction of Article 1, Section 2.
Still not a guarantee but it is much better than the seat-of-the-pants way we ended up with Obama.
Re. Hannity:
I think that Fox, Clear Channel, and ABC (Citadel Media) are all scared shiite-less of the Obamanoids. There were articles in Canada Free Press two years ago about alleged threats made to the “conservative” media by the FCC.
They are worried about an administrative equivalent of the Fairness Doctrine, IRS audits and Lord knows what else.
They ARE in business and don’t need the hassle. I understand. But DO NOT LIE to the people about the Constitution because your boss is on your back!

Levin howls about the subject which leads me to believe that he doesn’t have a well-formed argument. Alinsky hollering and name-calling is beneath his dignity. Levin knows way too much about the Constitution to blow off a subject that was so important to the Founders since Day One.
It’s his BEHAVIOR and that of other radio talkers with contracts with the corporations I mentioned which is MONOLITHICALLY pro-Obama eligibility when those of us on the blogosphere have dug up piles of reasons to question it.
If Levin is that un-critical a thinker, he wouldn’t have gone as far as he has in the legal profession.
It is just a SUSPICION but I believe that all these guys know which side their bread is buttered on so they take the stance they do.
I don’t condemn them for it. I’m quite sure their contracts have content clauses and they have to toe the mark.
You may now commence with the name calling and smears. Go ahead-—it’s all any of those guys do to doubters anyway. Cuss and fuss all you want.
By the way we are DOUBTERS. That other, DU word needs to stay where it came from along with “tea baggers.”
BTW and FYI,and for the sake of fairness, Levin is not on any of our local stations here so I haven’t heard his show in a coon’s age and I think he was subbing for Hannity then.
I HAVE heard asked about this in an interview and he flew off the handle.

I DO NOT make a habit of trying to learn the content of media contracts. Do you?
Even if there is no “censorship” in a contract, it could just be understood. “Gentlemen’s agreement.” And judging from the ignoring, evasion, and outright hostility of these guys-—WHO ALL ACT ALIKE, BTW-—toward their audience, it isn’t hard to draw conclusions.
I like Levin most of the time. But on this, he chucks constitutional history out the window. At least he did during the interview I heard (Laura I?).

levin does run landmark legal that has fought MANY battles for the conservative cause - including an amicus brief in the 26 state suit against obamacare (that we won, though is being appealed - the entire law was tossed - not just the individual mandate)
i see nothing in levin’s character to believe he would allow himself to be censored

That is a judgment based on a prediction which might or might not pan out.
I think it is well worth attacking Zer0 all the time the way the unions harass governors and race hustlers and poverty pimps harass corporations and the “evil rich” to cough up their “fair share.”
Guerrilla tactics, harassment, and pressure do not have to be the province of the Left only. They get noticed and sometimes get results with their tactics. We should do the same.
Doubters have cases in court, as you know. There is an honorable military officer in jail because of it (he is reportedly ready to get out). Other cases have been tossed for “lack of standing.” The courts are dirty and gutless in this. That needs to be exposed also.
Can’t hurt. And retired folks like me have plenty of time to work on it.

Don’t discount the initiatives in the states that require proof of eligibility. Bobby Jindal, of all people, says he will sign the bill if it is passed. (Jindal has said that his parents were not yet naturalized when he was born in ‘71. Now THAT is a patriot! Not selfish and a lover of the Constitution!)
