THAT I will absolutely agree with, and I my gut tells me that there is all sort of BS in what Obama claims as true in his life. I am not the enemy. :) (And neither is Mark Steyn)!

Civil war? Civil war said Mr. Steyn. Pursuing this natural born citizen (NBC) issue could lead to civil war? A civil war essentially based upon race, for sure; to wit, trying to remove a black president from office.
No adjudication.. drop the matter immediately! demands Mr. Steyn.
Not all agree with Mr. Steyn's history of NBC, BTW.
.. well anyway, the point here is to ask, will Mr. Steyn, et al support destroying the First and Second Amendments.. because some feeeeeeeeel that the protection given by the Constitution does not give the right to some to "offend" others! And the "offended" are threatenting civil war should the abuse continue.. so we need a Fairness Doctrine, Mr. Steyn will agree?

If we were going after 0bama we should have started with NBC not the birth certificate. Switching so late in the game after the Trumping makes us look desperate politically. Many already were but it is much easier to understand a no BC or invalid BC then the NBC question. You have to understand that not many people nowadays dont have the attention span to research and understand the NBC question. That is not the fault of the NBC crowd but the fault of our American culture, parents in absentia and public education system.

If there is any validity to that argument (that would be for a constitutional expert to decide), then that indeed would have been the one to start with. Meanwhile, thousands of people, including Freepers, ran around spouting often ridiculous and contradictory theories and falling for every con-man with a forged Kenyan birth certificate (remember?) and putting undue stock on the utterings of old African ladies who could barely speak English. What do you think was the overall effect on their credibility?

Fight on, then. I agree that it needs to be clarified and I can’t imagine that the FF’s would have thought it would ever be a question or they would have given a definition.
I loathe the man (BO) and will spend my energy fighting other fights. It just seems over the past few years that FReepers are trying to narrowly define “real conservatives” as those who follow every birther claim, etc. It infuriates me, and I posted from my gut. I really have no desire to get into a flame war. (Not that you have been anything but polite—it has been a year, almost to the day, since I posted something about this because the last time, I got jumped all over for daring to have a different opinions!)
Good luck with that fight.

All birther discussions leave me feeling like this:
At any rate, I do think that perhaps we need to have a committe certify that a candidate is Constitutionally qualified BEFORE they can be permitted to run in the primaries. I guess that's a state by state issue, though.

It's fun being lectured to by a Canadian with a British accent about what a NBC is and that dual citizens are plenty American enough.
It's almost as much fun as getting a lecture on healthy eating from Michelle or fiscal responsibility from a 2008 rino or any vintage of democrat progressive. Who better qualified? No one!
We are too stupid to know the difference.

It's fun being lectured to by a Canadian with a British accent about what a NBC is and that dual citizens are plenty American enough. Hilarious. I'm glad he is getting lots of emails on the NBC topic and people telling him that he doesn't know what he is talking about. Maybe it will spur him to do some research.

Me too! I know nothing can be done about Zero in office....impeaching him is a waste of time for now.....but you would think that people who care about the constitution would want it to be followed??? Why would you not want the truth to be known? It’s unbelievable....

Is that not true? I know both the Duke’s parents were Greek immigrants.

I guess that's a state by state issue, though. And maybe just maybe a STATE of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA would have standing before SCOTUS.

Is that not true? I know both the Dukes parents were Greek immigrants. Mark Steyn is confusing the issue. Nobody cares where your parents were born but that they were Naturalized Citizens at the time of your birth on American Soil.

Ethanol is corrosive to small engines. I’ve read where some companies are packaging 100% gasoline for small engines. Might have been in Popular Mechanics or a similar magazine.
To: sloop
states dont have standing in federal courts? On this question I would sure hope so.
