Lately, there have been duelling stories in the entertainment press about the future of Atlas Shrugged. With disappointing box office returns, the producers have been asked if they will go ahead and complete the franchise and in one interview were being told there will be no trilogy and in another were being told that there will. To clear the air, I reached out via email and Atlas producers John Aglialoro and Harmon Kaslow were both good enough to respond with exclusive quotes that should help to calm fears of Atlas fans everywhere.
Most surprising, though, was the revelation CNN, CNBC, and MSNBC are refusing to broadcast 15-second Atlas spots. Whats that about?
Im going to get a picture of Roger Ebert and Peter Travers and the rest of them so I can wake up in the morning and be reminded what were up against, Aglialoro wrote in an email. Theyre revitalizing me with their outrageousness. Aglialoro went on to state he had been misunderstood when he said the critical drubbing the film took influenced him to abandon the second and third films in the Atlas Shrugged franchise. He confirmed that he has no intention to go on strike.
That should come as very good news to the many, many people who obviously enjoyed the film and found it to be something special. Personally, Ive never seen such polarized reviews before. The critics savaged it and yet everyone who sent a revew into us loved it. The most interesting thing Ive noticed is that no one was on-the-fence about the film. No one said, Yeah, it was okay. People either passionately embraced Part 1 or passionately didnt. You dont see a lot of movies like that. So, for those of you who loved it
Make no mistake, we want to make...

I wonder if she always took herself as Gospel as much as others chose to do--she has said on subjects she didn't always know all the facts.
It difficult finding the answers to Life.
We know why, for sure.
But how do they get away with this? Other than porn or slander, isn't anyone supposed to be able to advertise?
We know the press is controlled - but this is is one step too far...
Wish they were available in the ‘gear’ store. They could become the ‘secret recognition’ pin. - until the left discovered what it was and then they'd MAKE us all wear one, like the Jewish star, to be recognized for round up time. (only half in jest.)
Here's one I made and wore during the 2008 campaign.
I'll be digging it out for 2012
I will get a John Galt sticker for my vehicle's window..
Great!!! Can you just see posters, small signs popping up all over? Stickers everywhere you look? Sky writing??
Free publicity for the movie by John Galt fans.
Cigarettes stamped with a golden dollar symbol $ (instead of a brand name) turn up from time to time in the story. Rand used cigarettes as a metaphor for humanity’s conquest of fire. To Rand, cigarettes are a symbol of humanity’s first great technological achievement. In Atlas Shrugged,
He produced a package of cigarettes and extended it to her [...] It was a plain white package that bore, as a single imprint, the sign of the dollar [...] There was no printing on the package, no trade name, no address, only the dollar sign stamped in gold. The cigarettes bore the same sign.
Ayn Rand chose a cigarette to represent money and capitalism partially because of its connotation of fire, and the significance of that to themes of Atlas Shrugged.

*snort* giggle PREFECT©!
Very, very nice.
Ping.
I think that most "reviewers" are actually failed writers who, since they're unable to actually write a book or screenplay that would be of interest to anyone, feel qualified to critique those who can.

Conservative parents: in order to win back the culuture you MUST encourage your children in their artistic endeavours.
We NEED good, patriotic Conservative artists, musicians and actors to start fighting back against the rot.
They need to get it on DVD ASAP. I and many people I know will not go to a theater anymore but we will buy the DVD.
