That rumor about U K L Lee was started by the smoking gun website as a ruse to see if birthers would take the bait. Smoking gun was dead on & the rumor they started has lived on all over the internet since yesterday afternoon.

I pointed this out on the loooooong thread last night, but the rumor, but alas, the rumor still lives on.

I think the idea is that there are other believed to be valid certificates signed by the same name “UKLLee” so what Obama’s presented as his is no different than others of that time period.

It seems unlikely we'll ever know the truth with any certainty. Obama has had a long time along with very powerful associates at his disposal to adjust whatever history needs adjusting. At this point there is simply no way to have any confidence in whatever is presented true or false.

HI Rawhide, he means that there are other accessible birth certificates with the registrar's name on them. While I cannot verify, we've been seeing posts here that there was indeed a Hawaiian registrar by that name.

Proof that even if Obama presents something close to the truth, it's still pretty much unbelievable - LOL!
