Wisconsin Capitol Damage Report Won't Have Cost

MADISON, Wis. -- A report on damage to the Wisconsin Capitol that came following weeks of protests will not include any estimate of how much any repairs will cost.

The restoration expert working on the report told The Associated Press on Thursday that what he submits to the state Department of Administration will only describe the damage done and the number of hours it would take to fix it, not the cost.

Charles Quagliana said it will be up to DOA to provide the actual cost of repairs, which could include additional hours of work beyond his recommendation expected Monday.

DOA Secretary Mike Huebsch originally said damaged caused by tape from protesters' signs would cost $7.5 million to repair, then backed off that claim and said it would only cost $350,000.

So is it $7.5 million, $350,000 or somewhere in between? I'm sure Wisconsin taxpayers want to know.

With costs to repair this union damage to the Wisconsin state capital, along with the estimated $1 million cost to recount the Supreme Court votes, the public sector unions are getting their pound of "pay back" flesh from the Wisconsin taxpayers.

I'm sure it's all for the children though.

Probably cost $300,000 just to get that cabbage smell out of there.

So, it's like playing a baseball game and not keeping score so that no one will get their feelings hurt? Well, this taxpayer wants to know the score.

There's enough video coverage of the events that the State can probably identify the people who did most of the damage and send them the bill ~ and probably a few bills to the organizations that sent them to do the damage.

I know a lady who is on staff for an assemblyman there. She told me that they shit on the floors and pissed on the walls. They carved stuff into the marble on and on.
The capital police did NOTHING. The state police did NOTHING. The capital police actually opened windows for the SOBs to get in.

Interesting information, yet the contractor for the job is called a “restoration expert.”

That title is an attempt to smooth over acts vandalism.
