In yet another segment where he is double-teamed by two liberals, Pat Buchanan defends why he is skeptical of President Obama's past. "I'll tell you what. He went to Occidental College then suddenly he ends up at one of the best schools in the country, Columbia. He vaults from there to Harvard Law School. Suddenly he's on the Harvard Law Review. Suddenly he's the editor of Harvard Law Review. We've never seen any grades of the guy. These are legitimate questions," Buchanan said. Key quote: Pat Buchanan to Chris Matthews: "You're supposed to be a journalist."

Yeah, just finished watching the video and C(P)rissy was trying to bait Pat. This is such the lib-commie tactic. Never answer a question, and then twist and turn the focus.

Was funny when near the end, C(P)rissy declared that carrying around tons of paper to prove who you are is just not necessary anymore, because, as he said, he got his job without showing his qualifications.

This whole thing reminds me of a line from one of the Rocky Movies, “...this is going to be a battle. Get ready for World War Three”.

That's what we have for 2012. Perhaps the best strategy is to just ‘hammer’ the MsMedia and tell them to put up or shut up.

Matthews makes an error stating the barry “demonstrates this kind of brain everyday” (paraphrasing). It is just the opposite. Obama is clearly showing he is in well above his pay grade. Knowing his poor grades will only confirm it for the nation and that is what Matthews wants hidden.

It's interesting that the most likely motive for the stanch resistance to asking for more records beyond the few and the suspect already proffered can only be that the staunch defenders really think Obama is lying and defrauding America. That is, they -- more than we -- assume the worst case is what he is hiding!

Why else would they so fiercely scorn and mock any who would ask for clarification! If *THEY* though he was really legit, they would have no expectations that what he is holding back and covering up would be needed to be held back. If they were honestly claiming that he was born here, born in Hawaii, that his parents were married, that he was a great student, that he is honest in his applications for college admissions, they would also expect that all the documents he hasn't yet released would be perfectly consistent with those assertions of fact.

But then they don't really believe they ARE true. They think it is likely there is fraud, there are deceptions and lies in them. So they insist that no one should bother about them!

It’s a bit hard to hear, but I think Buchanan chimed in by saying, “That’s apparent.” Not sure if Chrissy caught it.

You’re kidding...right? I guess perhaps you truly don’t know. Pat Buchanan is and has been forever a right wing pundit. He is also an extremely well known author. Not to mention Republican Presidential aspirant in 92 and 96 and Reform Party Presidential candidate in 2000. He is probably best classified as a Populist if you really want a label for him.

I have read two of his books (”Churchill, Hitler, and “The Unnecessary War”” and “The Death of the West: How Dying Populations and Immigrant Invasions Imperil Our Country and Civilization”) and highly recommend them.

Obama's illegitimacy is like that of a bigamist -- when discovered the marriage is voided, but not just in the future, in the past as well. But there is a Constitutional process out, I think. It is not impeachment. It is this:

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

That's Section 4 of the 25th. Meant for sickness, it could also provide for other infirmary to hold the office.

In any case if Obama is not NBC, he is not President. ALL PERSONS are then enabled to force him out of office, and to deny any authority to him. Having an established Process doesn't come before the duty to do what is right. No written law, regulation or precedent covers every situation. At times -- this is one -- completely novel steps have to be taken.

Now, if GENERAL STUDIES sees fit to give you credit for your college work somewhere else, and you figure out with your advisor,(maybe Bill Ayers helped, his sister-in-law was a Barnard prof there,) what you need to get a degree, well by golly, keep on a-payin' and they will get you a degree!

Guess what name is on the degree: Columbia COLLEGE and yours, hopefully, Soetoro, Obama, Dunham, whateva!

Gang Our research effort need some clean-up. This stuff has been on the site for 2 years and is easily checked. Buchanan is allowed to screw up. He's rich. There is no mystery about Columbia except what classes he took, what grades he got, and whether or not he took the LSAT for Harvard. IMHO, Not. He wasn't there a lot, which is another problem, but long enough to get a degree.

100% correct. PRESIDENT. Ceremonial and administrative job with the admin handled by paid help. BO/BS drank cocktails, talked a lot of bosh at meetings, and hung out looking tan.

His law school classmates did not think all that much of him. Harvard LS is very hard to get into, but impossible to get thrown out of. Quite a few folks who knew him there have stepped up with mixed reviews.

Hey, he's a Harvard Lawyer. That really is quite something, whether he got there by hook or by crook.

Nothing wrong with the "General Studies" approach. Every great school has a "service" outfit they use to make money and smart students can use to repair screw-ups.

In NYC, the town is crawling with GS operations, Columbia, NYU, CCNY, Cooper Union, and in my day they crawled with a weird collection of old bolshevik adjunct faculty that looked to me as if Trotsky had demobilized the Red Army in Times Square. Some great characters.

Also, at Columbia, once you paid your money to the GS operation, you might even be allowed to take real courses with the Ivy Leaguers from the College, provided you had the pre-requisites and they had room!

IIRC the situation is that it is possible that Obama went to Columbia via the wide-open “friend-of-the-school” General Studies program, but we don’t have the direct evidence to confirm that hypothesis.
