OBAMA GOT THE ZOT!!!
I care about the truth. Even if it was all for pr, he did what he did. I thought he said more on a clip but since I can't souce to it, forget that.
And I care a whole lot about what he does or doesn't do, and know a whole lot about all of it.
If people like you make an honest mistake, I can overlook that. But making up stuff is just plain wrong no matter who does it.
I heard that the White House wreaks of stinky B.O.
June 9, 2009, a tree at the WH was struck by lighning.

If they said mean things on Easter in that church and I find a neutral, solid source or any public Easter greetings, I'll tack it onto this thread. If it happened as one poster said, I seriously doubt any mainstream would include it.
No matter what he does or doesn't do, somebody isn't going to like it. Often I'm that somebody who doesn't like it. But the title said he ignored Easter, and he didn't. There are weightier things I don't like right now.
Speaking of White house Christmas trees......
Obama Christmas tree features ornaments celebrating a chinese dictator and drag queen
OM goodness, ugghh
The clip I thought I heard or read quotes from would have been the prayer breakfast, no national greeting as such. No blessing the crowds. No shouting from the WH rooftops.
Now the sermon was obviously selectively edited, but it was clearly about racism still existing mentioned Rush twice and the KKK twice, FOX news, and elaborated some.
So the sermon was a bit inappropriate for Easter, bigoted. If it's still such an issue, talk about it another venue if it makes them feel better, but not in church. The music was rather nice the bit I heart in the YT video. The clip was courtesy of a radio station on another thread.
As far as any of it goes, there is no law (other than the oath of office and perhaps some I'm not aware of) that says a president has to do anything about greeting the various religious factions on their special holidays, just a nice touch to do so, so long as one isn't favored publicly over the others.
Do I need to eat "Jim Crow" now?
No, this isn’t about ‘crow’, and not about a ‘law’, it only gives a subtle verification of where his heart and head is. I’m curious as to why this interest to defend him. You had mentioned there are ‘bigger fish to fry’ (my quote) but, it really is of interest to you. There is an anti colonialism style even a resistance towards the norm and religious traditions in this country. One can be a different religion and still show respect for a different faith. In this case he should equally regard Christians. Christmas, the birth of Christ is beautiful, but it is the death and resurrection of Christ as to what sets Christians apart. Many religions believe Jesus was a prophet, but it is his sacrifice that has power, this is a difficult thing for some religions to acknowledge. And when there is no mention of Easter, two things comet mind. It either is unimportant or an untruth to him, or he just doesn’t care. Sometimes saying nothing speaks volumes.
Was there are thunderstorm there? The photo looks so peaceful. It's breathtaking how the lightning is on the peak. smack center.
hmm. either our Heavenly Father was celebrating earth day, or He is sending a subtle message.
You think he’ll get the hint?
Was God just warming up?
Or does He need to re-sight His aiming apparatus?
Does He have a different model big enough for the Capital?
/sarc
sort of.
Not funny; I’m a first born son...
pssssstt.....take the warning, Barry!
Yeah, hey Barry, during the next storm, get up on the roof and point a golf club up to heaven.
I think President whatever his name is should heed this warning.
During the next bad storm, I think he should get up on the roof and shake a golf club up toward the heavens.
>>> Dear God, I meant the guy in the White House, not the White House.
>>> Ill try to keep my prayers more specific.
*GUFFAW*
I was defending the truth. The title was deceptive. To put it in yesterday's context, I had bought a product I needed badly with deceptive advertising. Then I see headlines on a MSM site, gas prices $3 something. Everybody knows they're pushing $5 in many parts of the country, so click on the link and see it's AVERAGE.
As to holidays, I don't pay much attention to what Obama says or doesn't say about them. I get so weary of all the lies out there. Do we need to be deceptive, too or condone it?
Of course some Christians will be more sensitive than others to perceived slights. How "Christian" or turning the other cheek is this thread? How "Christian" was what the pastor at that church said? And that other pastor on our side calling him a "long-legged Mack Daddy". How Christian is that? Otherwise that pastor who will remain unnamed, he seems well educated.
And look if you think I'm being self-righteous, think again because I have plenty of sins I'm going to have to answer for.
I made up my mind long ago about Obama with the born alive legislation. But no matter what my personal views are, to wantonly trash him on the internet isn't very "Christian". It's one thing to politely speculate and conjecture, but it's a downright lie to state as facts some things there is no proof for because he won't release it.
The scripture has hard words to say about all liars and that they are one category that won't be allowed into heaven. If you truly believe something that turns out to be a lie, then retract if you can. I did part of what I originally said. Otherwise, I'm moving on. The country is a wreck, I seriously do not believe it's going to get better no matter who is elected next time and am trying to get used to the idea of higher prices and more hardship except for the "favored" ones which aren't conservatives.
I read a couple liberal blogs and see how they trash us across the board, lump us all together. It's obvious they look down on us and consider us lacking in intelligence. I'm not talking about DU. They quoted one of my posts. I don't use bad words, and half of my posts get censored off general boards. I guess I'm too outspoken as a conservative, call them out on their errors or omissions, and they don't like me and I don't care.
