Yeah, I'm shocked too. I would have thought the EPA would have tried to extort a larger amount before denying the permit.
Looks like Shell should have filled out the permits under the name of Petrobas or another Soros stock.

The EPAs appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project.The GOP should be hanging this idiocy around Obama's neck from now until November 2012.
