Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.
The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

Then of course there is their most egregious one. That is where they had “proven” he was born at one hospital and when the letter was released to the other hospital, they went to their page and changed the name of the hospital without ever making a comment on it - hiding their tracks.

I remember back in 2004 when all the networks were doing background stories on the great 0 before his big speech at the DNC when Kerry was nominated. They kept saying the reason that 0 had such an odd name was that he was born in Kenya, and was a great example of an immigrant success story.
How that tune has changed.

Doesn't anyone find how Ryan (in 4 days) had to drop out of the race suspicious ?? A judge released the details of his divorce ?? Come on now !! The story is not “Kenyan Born” ....the story is WHO is behind "this Obama" and why did they need to play Ryan dirty to ensure Obama a win.
The story is Obama needed to be elected Senator ...so less than 2 years later he could run for the POTUS !!

I’ll bet you are right. My darn screen shot of it doesn’t include the lower portion. I thought that I had taken a screen a year ago. I can’t seem to find it on this computer, but I’m still looking. I DO NOT REMEMBER reading the Conn. at all until now. Apparently they are smart enough to leave the Queen’s reference in or it would be REALLY obvious.

So this is a KENYAN paper praising Obama as one of its own! A “local boy making good.” The very reason that the Standard made such a big deal about one man running for senate in the United States is that they believed he was born in Kenya! And this was back in 2004!
No matter what you want to think of “Birthers,” this just adds to the mounting evidence against Obama and there has been NO evidence presented to prove the Birthers wrong — like an actual birth certificate (instead of a “Certificate of Live Birth”), for example.

OOPS, forgot to add this: just how stupid do they think we are? Sr. never lived in Conn., but just assuming this was true, it was in the early 1960’s, NOT 1977.

Coincidentally, this was the same weekend Obama’s first commercials hit the airwaves. Interestingly (or maybe not), the same exact thing happened to another of his rivals–Jack Ryan. It was WLS-Channel 7 TV and the Chicago Tribune that filed suit to open Hull’s sealed divorce records. To be fair, the Chicago Tribune exposed Jack Ryan’s past, too, so this was a case of bipartisan snooping. Brent Bozell at the Media Research Center is right, though; journalists don’t cover liberal political scandals in quite the same way as conservative ones.
There’s not a whole lot else to say about this except that we’re looking for validation and citing beyond this blog; from the Tribune itself or some other source, into the veracity of that claim. I don’t recall how I stumbled upon that, and I’m sure that a lot of bloggers can relate to surfing the web, and not saving something into favorites, and ending up somewhere, not being able to retrace your steps.

If we searched the email database and phone records of senior editors at the Tribune how many messages would we find from the staff of David Axelrod ? Who happened to slip Chuck Goudie an ( allegedly) anonymous letter detailing Mr. Ryan’s many year old attempt to bring the then Mrs. Jerri Ryan to a sex club ?
Did these two men do anything to deserve having their careers destroyed by a local media that had placed themselves so obviously in Mr. Obama’s corner that no Illinois politician dared to step into Mr. Ryan’s shoes ?

Are all your legal, private personal choices exploitable and open to the intrusion of your privacy by the press for a politician’s or even the government’s gain?

You are correct about the African Press. Their coverage stopped about the time Corsi visited Kenya.

Sounds as if you’ve not gotten the low down on this husband and wife in California extremely liberal couple owning snopes and running it out of their home. I’d believe very little from that web site.
