Fate Of Accused Fort Hood Gunman Rests With New Post Commander
The decision on how to handle the court martial for accused Fort Hood killer Maj. Nidal Hasan falls to the post’s new commander.
FORT HOOD (April 22, 2011) - Fort Hood has a new commanding general and he’ll have a major decision facing him from the start.
Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell took command of the Texas Army post at a ceremony Thursday.

With Cone's departure, now Campbell will decide whether Maj. Nidal Hasan will be court-martialed and face the death penalty in the 2009 shootings at Fort Hood.
Two Army colonels have already made that recommendation.
The final decision must be made by a commanding general.
Last month Cone granted a request by Hasan's attorney to delay proceedings until Campbell's arrival.
Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.

So, what have they been doing for the past two years?
If the new CG want the Troops to respect him, he’ll make it a General Courts Martial with a Death Sentance on the table.
All the members of the Courts Martial Board should be combat vets from the Combat Arms too; No REMFs allowed.

Why is Hasan still breathing?
I think if it was solely up to Lt Gen Campbell he would have him tried, fried, and fed to the local dog pounds by the 4th of July. However, I think Gates will get his nose in it at the direction of Hussein Obamahamed. Maybe he’ll be released to the White House to be the personal shrink for the 1st family.
