A transgender woman beaten at a Baltimore County McDonald's spoke out on Saturday, saying that the attack was "definitely a hate crime" and that she's been afraid to go out in public ever since.
"They said, 'That's a dude, that's a dude and she's in the female bathroom,' " said Chrissy Lee Polis, 22, who said she stopped at the Rosedale restaurant to use the restroom. "They spit in my face."
A worker at the restaurant taped Monday's attack and created a graphic video that went viral last week. After the video garnered hundreds of thousands of views on websites, McDonald's issued a statement condemning the incident, and on Saturday the worker who taped the incident was fired.
The video shows two females — one of them a 14-year-old girl — repeatedly kicking and punching Polis in the head as an employee and a patron try to intervene. Others can be heard laughing, and men are seen standing idly by.
....Her twin brother, Matty Polis, who also lives in Baltimore, said it's been painful to watch her have to endure these sorts of attacks.
"My sister has gotten this her entire life," Matty Polis said. "Being the way she is, she's always had a hard time."
Polis, who was raised by her grandmother in Dundalk and Essex, graduated from Chesapeake High and hasn't had a job or stable place to stay for the past two years, according to her mother, Angela Thomas.
Polis, who is white, believes race may have also been a factor in her attack— both the assailants were black, according to the police report.
Equality Maryland has called on state Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to step in and investigate the case as a hate crime.

The girls attacked someone.
They could have come out of the bathroom and asked the manager to make them leave if they had a problem (which is what normal civilized people do).
I also read this person had a sex change and legally at least that gave that person the right to be there.
Also lost in all this is the other white person, a grandma who defended her got beaten up by the same girls.
Add to that that there was no real help to stop this by the staff of McDonalds. One was filming, laughing and giving the ones doing the crime that the police were coming so they could run. Other McDonald employees were heard laughing.
The girls just wanted to be violent and McDonalds staff wanted to watch a good fight, not intervene IMO.
Only the Grandma looked good in this whole thing.

Too bad there are so many corner stores and fast-food joints in the inner cities vs grocery stores. Maybe Mrs. Obama should focus on this problem as part of her "eating right" campaign.

Unfortunately, for at least one more year I live in Maryland, the Freak state. Aside for the diversity situation promoted heavily here, there are a lot of feral creeps running around the state beating others. Someone should send the attackers to jail...but won’t. Freak state.

McDonalds et, al sure has a real problem. I see this as only the first sign of a rioting class about to emerge when their food stamps stop, their welfare stops, their housing subsidies stop, etc....
Only a horribly imbalanced person climbs over the counter at a fast food joint, tossing food and kicking at the employees because "bitch forgot my fries".
General Observation--not aimed at you:
Reviewing comments here, I see a lot of “he asked for it for using the woman's room,” but no one thinks about what would have happened if he used the men's room.
Either way, thug type predators of either sex would have beat this person (and possibly killed him). Besides, how do they “know” the person was a man? They don't, and there are plenty of women out there that don't look like the stereotypical female.
Sad thing is, “he deserved it” crowd on FR have no soul as they attempt to justify an attempted murder.
One doesn't have to support the victim, but one should never engage in rationalization to mitigate the guilt of the animals.
Not everyone has the disposition to fight back.
And if, for example, you were getting beat down in a McDonald’s and all I could do was get out my cell phone for pictures, that doesn’t really speak too highly of me.
And for that matter, shouldn’t you, and don’t you, have the expectation that you are “protected” by the other people around you in a public setting?
But, then again, nothing surprises me anymore in a society that rewards ignorance and stupidity.

If you have some threatening your employees and making problems in the store you maybe have to call the cops and eventually they'll get the message.
Even during a rant the employees and manager should be polite to the customer talking trash so they don't go totally off.
If they get physical, call the cops for sure.
There was a black girl in Brooklyn recently, who got beaten almost to death by a group of other black girls. Mainly because she sang better than them at a talent show audition. So they pounced on her like a pack of hyenas after school.
At one point in the video the victim actually was fighting back some and somewhat successfully fending off the one girl. But of course like a pack animal the other beast jumped in and starting whaling on the victim’s head.
