Tea party lawmakers are being targeted for elimination by their own party, as old-guard Republicans use the Census-mandated redistricting process to erase seats won by last years upstarts, the National Journal reports. House freshmen from several GOP-majority states are in danger of losing out in a political realignment that rewards more connected veteran representatives. It may be cold comfort to tea partyers that the hostile redistricting process proves their point: They really dont belong to the political establishment.

Why are you asking me?
Certainly, which is all the more reason for a liberal publication to incite more division amongst us. A third party in today's environment will hurt conservatives and help liberals. Does that mean we can never consider a third party? No.
What it means, right now, is that we must be delibrate in our thoughts and actions to reform our current party. We must be reasonable and logical in how we respond to the GOP. That means understanding our goals, setting priorities, weighing options, recognizing consequences, and choosing effective strategies.
LOL. Right. Hit pieces remain forever.
Thanks Syncro!!
Amen
At this point we need a deportation party
I'm with you muddler. GAME ON!
Better advice never was heard in politics. Thank you Dick Bachert.
In the case of Larry McDonald I’ve always had lingering suspicions the Establishment did more than campaign sabotage to take him down. Even if they didn’t, I’m certain they exulted and breathed a sigh of relief at his tragic “loss”...
The good news is the masks are coming off, and the American people will have the chance to choose more honestly. The bad news is there may not be enough of them left who know how to choose wisely...
You linked to a thread of his at #56.
The Republican Party is about to commit suicide. Party Leadership at the State and National level is using the big victory last November and the census to gerrymander (redistrict) their seats so that the new Tea Party winners have NO CHANCE in the next election — their districts divided and destroyed — while RINO’s incumbents running the show stay safe. If they do this, they ASSURE a 3rd Party. IDIOTS.
Establishment vs Americans
The Rinos are going to split the party. It seemed to me, the Tea Party people were trying to work within the Party, but the Rinos won’t put up with it. Then, when Obama wins again, Karl Rove and all the rest will blame the Tea Party types.
Thank you.
Roger what you said here.
And I, like you, fear that over 100 years of government school indoctrination has taken its toll on the citizens of this nation. Obozo was the most recent manifestation of their success.
2012 will tell us whether this nation lives or goes into the ashcan of history.
The battle lines were already drawn people just now are finding out about it? This is why we have to target committee seats and put the rino party out of business and the TEA Party takes it over. This is not an overnight fight, this has been going on here for over 6 years.
Aye mate!!
Be Ever Vigilant!!
I was in the US Navy from ‘47 to ‘49...
All they need to do is give Corpus Christi a northern rather than southern focus, and they accomplish both goals (helping Farenthold and preserving a majority hispanic district).
It appears GRIT 2 comes closest to doing that:
There is a substantial faction of the GOP whose political existence is centered upon horse-trading with the Democrats. If anyone is able to expose the Democrats for what they are, such horse trading--any any politician whose raîson d'être relies upon it--will become useless. The interests of the RINO wing of the party are antithetical to those of the conservative wing--the only way the RINO wing can hope to save itself is to cripple the Constitutionalist wing, and the only way the Constitutionalist wing can triumph is to recognize that the RINO wing must be disowned and/or destroyed (it's possible that if the Constitutionalist wing of the party could sufficiently disown the RINO wing, the latter would wither away on its own; in practice I doubt one could separate the RINOs from the GOP without destroying them first).
