I'm black, and I took him to mean that every American should be on Team America. That's a completely conservative viewpoint, and I agree wholeheartedly with it.
Team Red, Team Yellow, Team Black, Team White, Team Brown, etc., are all artificial (and evil) divisions of America, and should be shunned by all right thinking people of this country.
Perhaps I did. I long for a colorblind society, and I wrongly reacted to the 'team black' phrase. My apologies.
The victimhood club has no color pre-requisite. It will always be a personal choice whether someone wants to participate or not. Unfortunately, our progressive society is planting the seeds early on, making it more difficult for young indoctrinated adults to see how ultimate responsibility for their condition falls exclusively upon themselves.
My point again is that the two females in the video who delivered the beat-down were operating out of some shortcoming that is ultimately rooted in fear. And this process does not discriminate. It can just as easily inflict European, Asian, Middle Eastern, or Hispanic. But sadly, the only thing that makes this newsworthy is that a black perpetrator was beating a white victim. My contention is that if the victim were also black, this thread wouldn't have 700+ posts on it. And that is sad to me.
You can even examine how the standard shifts within this thread. There are posters here who made it out to be a black v. white thing from the get-go. And there are others who were ready to excuse the actions when they believed the victim to be homosexual. To me, none of that matters. It is not OK to beat down someone who is not fighting back - I don't care who it is or who is doing the beating. It's not OK. And I say that as a human - not as a member of some exclusive club whose basis for membership happens to be skin color.
The two perpetrators should be charged with aggrevated assault, attempted murder, and attempted kidnapping - period. They should not be charged for whatever bigoted thought they happened to be thinking at the time.
