Howdy!
Thrilled to hear of your amazing progress. Praise God .. He is so merciful. May you get better and better with each passing day. God bless you and provide perfect healing.
Thank God for Free Republic!
Thanks for the reminder. It is done.
I hear ya, Jim!
Making my “second” contribution this month, and I challenge all Freepers to please do the same. $1, $5, $10; whatever, it all adds up.
Where would we go if we logged on to our comnputers and there was no more Free Republic??
Bump it Up!
Just before the 2008 election, I was "on-line" checking out everything possible regarding stats on McCain/Palin and trying to get a feel for how the election was going to turn out. Well in my "travels" on the net, I stumbled across Democrat Underground (DU) and was absolutely (truly) horrified at what was being relayed there. The most vile comments (sheesh they were probably mild compared to now) about Gov Palin were being made. I could not believe what I was seeing. BUT....on the page I happen to be on, there was a link to FRee Republic and I 'clicked' on it. Thank God I did because when the election occurred, and the results came in, FR was a refuge. I don't think a more severe depression has ever hit my life than the one that happened when McCain (traitor) conceded. I worked that campaign; called all over the country and in addition called in voting irregularities that I had knowledge of.
Well, we all know how it turned out and that's now water under the bridge. But I have been on here everyday since joining. I have had the honor of interacting with some of the most decent, intelligent people around. Yes there are some that I've disagreed with and some that I would consider 'trolls' (lol) but overall, I've been humbled.
Like anything I've ever approached, I was aggressive but on here...well...on here I've eaten humble pie many times (I've learned to keep my mouth shut...errr my fingers still). So many of you are far better people than I've ever been. and yet, most of you have accepted me. Thank you.
Finally, (sorry...it's just I want to get this in) Jim Robinson is the most decent, most determined man I've ever 'met'. Jim you are the epitomy of a man. You set things right on here; when there is a squirrel on here that is the complete opposite of what conservativism is, you always set it straight. When things are not just right, you set it straight. And this in spite of your own hardships. You truly are an inspiration and though we've never met 'in person', I can guarantee that if you called and said you needed something, honest to God, I would be there and I would find a way to help. You are that important to me and to 'us'.
I haven't given the way that I would like. Hard times are everywhere and being in Real Estate, well, let's just say I'm less that comfortable right now (financially speaking) but will be upping my monthly by 5. (I had to discontinue it recently because I changed banks)
Anyway, I hope this makes some sense to those who are newer on here and for you 'veterans' of Free Republic, thank you for allowing me to be a part. I don't feel too much like a foreigner in my own country anymore.
Sincerely,
Outlaw Woman :)
BUMP!
FR survived Clinton and it will survive Obusha too. :-)

It must be time to donate to FR again!
