Meg Whitman likely out of politics for good
Politico ^ | 21 April 2011 | Jennifer Epstein

Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, who made her first foray into politics with a bid for California governor last year, said that after losing that race, she’s probably out of politics for good.

“I doubt it,” she said Wednesday on Fox Business Network when asked whether she’d run for elected office again.

Some had speculated that Whitman, who lost to Democrat Jerry Brown by 13 points in November, might consider a run for Senate. Last month, she said she was “definitely not” plotting a 2012 Senate bid challenging Democrat Dianne Feinstein.

Not that I trust anything that comes out of her mouth, but let's hope this is true. Good riddance!

My thoughts exactly. I wonder what some of these ultra rich people are missing in their lives that they have to have power over others to feel worth something.

And, to think there were people who voted for the Nit Whit.

I couldn't do it. I intended to...but just couldn't do it.

Let the dims run the state for awhile, it's bound to completely collapse.

It's about the only hope conservatives in CA have.

Her campaign was a perfect illustration of how inept corporate people are in the world of politics. What ended up really alienating her from most of us here was her statements in English standing tough on immigration; and her ads in Spanish winking and nodding contradicting everything she said in English. The disaster of this hypocrisy was fully exposed when she was stupid enough to go on The John & Ken Show to discuss all this thinking they were gonna give her a pass on it!! She came across in that interview as a liar, and most of us turned away from her for good at that point.

It’s not a bad thing to be a successful business person. But to think that equates to being a good politician is a grave error. Take heed, Trump.

Since you folks set yourselves up as the smartest people in the room and judges of the perfect candidate, who can beat DiFi in 2012?

Only a real conservative would have a chance, but, in CA, probably no one.

I live in San mateo Calif. No one can beat Difi especially a Republican. She will be in as Senator until she either retires or kicks the bucket I am afraid. California is done

Undoubtedly a wise move because no Republican can win state-wide in CA this millennium.

San Mateo is my sales territory. The only candidate DiFi loses too is The Grim Reaper. CA’s recovery will lag for the next 20yrs.

Definitely good news.

But the fact that the idiots posing as ca GOP “leadership” recruited Meg, Carly, Arnold,
and a host of other ex-dem RINOs to put on the ballot is not encouraging.

Until they are thrown out and Republicans start acting like Republicans, there won’t be any successes.

That’s the main trouble with company execs.

If they can’t be top dog, they don’t want to play.
