With the economy so bad, people may just choose a generic "Gary Johnson" over a pricey imported name-brand.
Unfortunately there are so many Gary Johnsons in America that if he gets nominated it wouldn't be hard for Democrats to put a few other Gary Johnsons on the ballot to split the vote.

If, like most people, you aren't familiar with Johnson, a rundown of some of his beliefs might convince you he's a liberal Democrat: He supports legalizing marijuana, abortion rights, and civil unions; opposes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; wants to slash defense spending; and doesn't go to church.

I am looking forward to Johnson injecting some sensible libertarian ideas into the debate. The “evangelical” wing of the GOP has held sway for too long on the debate and the tea party message is libertarian based.
