To: null and void

Granted, but still, the fact that he gave his money to a university rather than taking care of his family, only reflects the other things I have heard about him: He was an arrogant, heartless, and selfish SOB. In other words, a typical socialist.

Einstein's granddaughter. Adopted or not...he should have provided something. How many of us would relinguish our granddaughters to the streets if we had means.

Best guess is that she was not Jewish....and that's that!!

At the time of his death, Einstein's estate wasn't worth nearly what it's worth now. He left no money to any university - he left his money to his family and donated his scientific papers to Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Those consisted of his academic papers and scientifically important letters to colleagues discussing their work.

That stuff is now worth a lot of money. The university trust claims ownership over all of Einstein's "intellectual property", and makes money licensing Einstein's name and image (bobble-head dolls, t-shirts, etc.). My guess is that Einstein would have been appalled.
