Appreciate the opportunity to clarify: I think that although it’s early in the game and understand that much can change before the campaign begins in earnest, and as much as I am solidly behind the conservative positions of both Palin and Bachmann (whew — that’s a lot of “disclaimers”), as of now I don’t think either has the solid support of “independents” and “moderates” throughout America to be elected president. With both on the ticket (as president and vp), I think the chances for conservative victory in the national election are even less.

Are we sure that the support of “independents” and “moderates” are required to win? Reagan was a polarizing figure (or at least the press made him out to be an extremist) and he won handily.
