Less than an hour before the 5 PM deadline.
This is going to cost Wisconsin a lot of money and Kloppenburg and the unions know that but don't care. They also know that they will get free publicity for the senate recalls during what will be a long, drawn out recount if Kloppenburg's(Franken's) lawyers get their way. There is also a possibility that they can drag the recount out long enough that Prosser cannot be seated on August 1.
In Milwaukee County alone, the recount is estimated at nearly half a million dollars. "I would estimate it would probably be the cost of the election, which is about five hundred grand," said Lisa Catlin Wiener with the Milwaukee County Election Commission.
Can she do this. I thought the number of lead was too much for recount.
Doesn’t the wicked witch ever change her clothes? Whats with the drums at a press conference?
>>>This is going to cost Wisconsin a lot of money and Kloppenburg and the unions know that but don’t care.
This should be the only talking point.
i want a trainload of our lawyers and observers there. you KNOW the dems are gonna pull the requisite votes out of a trunk or floating ballot box somehwere, a la, Franken.
So what it is just taxpayer money. She represents the taxtakers.
Waste of money. Kloppenburg has algore syndrome.
I am going to use that term TAXTAKER!!!!!
They’re gonna steal it folks.
Right in front of our eyes, they’re gonna steal it.
This is no surprise, we would have done exactly the same were the roles reversed. Prossers term runs until July 31 anyway, so it really doesn’t matter if he isn’t seated until August 1 anyway.
Fire public union members to pay for the recount and make sure the public knows that they were laid off to pay for the Union’s Petty Vendetta. Unions aren’t the only ones who should be playing hard ball.
But not surprising.
This is "Franken" all over again.
It does matter, she has Franken's lawyers and they can easily drag this out to after Aug. 1, it's happened before, and Prosser cannot be seated in that case.
Absolutely no other reason for this. A waste of tax dollars, sorry WI friends but your politics are becoming more like those of use stuck south of the stateline have to put up with...Red folks locked in a Blue state.
She accused the Government Accountability Board as being biased!
A loser can request a recount no matter what. Recount is never automatic.
If the margin is less than half a percent (0.5%), the state pays the full cost of recount. If the margin is less than 2%, the loser pays a token fee, something like 5 bucks per ward. If the margin is more than 2%, a recount can still be had, the loser pays the full cost.
I bet they find 50,000 voter ballots stacked in a semi-trailer in Madison, WI that were “overlooked” ensuring the challenger will win the recount.
