My daughter had a friend in high school who was from a disadvantaged background. She tried to help the girl by setting up a job interview for her through another friend who worked at McDonalds. The girl then turned around and quit after about a week.
It was a tough but powerful lesson for my daughter.
You just can’t help some people.
When you treat an entire segment of society like children for 40 years, how do you expect them to act?
You said 50M.
That would be amazing.
I am sure people will sue saying they thought it was 50,000 at each location or something
Agreed. A couple of years ago, a coworker tried to help a few disadvantaged teenage girls by bringing them to our workplace for a day to see how the corporate world works. He’s a good guy and acted out of a good heart. Unfortunately, two of the girls began arguing and it turned physical. Security had to be called and they were all escorted out of the building. And these people wonder why they are where they are?
Now Hiring 50,002
As we like to say here, O.I.C. = Only In Cleveland

There is no ‘teaching’ of manners or responsibility..
one of my ‘favorites’-
Person comes into the bar, I am talking to the owner - after lunch. Person sits down, orders a beer or two, needs shave, looks ‘sloppy’ - not poor dirty, just sloppy. After a couple of beers he says “I heard they are looking for a bartender here”. I looked at the owner, and being the warm, people loving person I am said “I know the owner-
If you go home, shave, put on a shirt and trousers, hold the drink for after the interview, come back.
You will have to fill out an application, so make sure you bring your Drivers License or ID, Social Security Card and a pen will show you are prepared”.
The guy looked at me and said “F... it. Thanks, geez, its only a job, I ain’t going through all that”.
He had his act down pat though I didn’t see the ‘slip’ saying he was looking for a job.....
Another eyewitness, Antoine Grey, captured the incident on his cell phone and showed it exclusively to Fox 8 News.
I think we can all get a visual now.
Fighting over a job? maybe there’s hope for America yet.
