“First a Chevy Volt catches fire and destroys a house...”
Garage. It burned the garage. Lucky for the homeowner, there was a firewall between the garage and the house.
The next day(?) or maybe two while the fire investigators were there, the Volt burst into flames again: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2707043/posts
Ah, yes, and the left has been trumpeting a book that claims that conservatives are the “scientifically illiterate” ones.
It’s just another way of the left saying “if you don’t believe what we do, you’re dumb. Na na na!”
That should be large amounts.
True story
I was working in my office one night at midnight, and I have several CFL’s in addition to many fluorescent lights.
I heard a sizzling sound like bacon, looked in the direction of the sound and watch the CFL burst into flame with flames licking up onto the ceiling of my house.
Next morning I changed out every single CFL with conventional light bulbs.
As I write this memo. I’m looking at the Black flame marks on the porcelain base.
Good luck
I've had TWO catch fire.
I don't trust them.
Plus they look silly.
Yup.
I've had a couple libtards try that "you don't understand science" junk with me. Well, I've got a Masters in electrical engineering and my schooling didn't stop there. My science (self)education hasn't stopped and never will.
Let's just say the conversations don't go the way they expect. Last most fun one was when I busted a PhD "astrophysicist" who didn't know squat about quantum mechanics and its implication for AGW junk science (specifically the absorption spectra of CO2).
EE here, too.
I’ve had conversations with hard core leftist “billions of years” evolutionists who insisted I didn’t understand the science that “proved” the age of the earth and “proved” evolution as the origin of species.
The thing is, I’ve had AT LEAST the amount of “scientific education” on this topic that they’ve had under the secular humanist public education system, and then I went ON to study it more and discovered that that education they and I received left out a lot of information that didn’t fit their presumed model. And _I’m_ supposedly the “uneducated” one.
