You stated in reply to my post 20:

“Trolls and Obots won’t, by definition, admit to “getting the connection”. On the other hand, of course, if you are devoid of rational thought, then you may have some difficulty recognizing the bleedin’ obvious.”

If you will look at my start date, you will see that it is unlikely that I am a troll... or an Obot

I asked for a little bit of clarification of your thoughts on this subject as respectfully as I knew how to do. I was interested in the trail of your thoughts and the bottom line conclusion was not obvious to me. I wasnt necessarily disagreeing, I just hoped you would flesh it out a little more for me.

I think it is sad that your response was to unthinkingly attack me in the face of a respectful and humble request.

God bless you.

Hmm ~ and the question is what? Do you want to be a troll perhaps?

We were venting on the evil Cass Sustein ~ and his wife is still a beard, and he's foul and not to be trusted.

It will be good to see the Obots GONE back to their fortress high in the Berkshires.

Sorry if I offended, but I thought the connection I made was obvious. Perhaps it wasn't. (Longevity, by the way, is no guarantee of being a true FReeper.)

The reason I posted the doc by Cass Sunstein was because it was the first time I have ever read such a shocking and subversive paper actually written by a significant advisor to the office of the President. If you read the full paper, you'll see it was written in 2008 during the previous election campaign cycle, a time when the eligibility issue was in its infancy and was being passed off as just another garden variety conspiracy theory. But it has grown far more complex, and so have the Anti-Birthers currently posting on FR.

I found it very interesting that one of Obama's senior Czars would be making such outrageous recommendations on how the government should be dealing with public theories that go against those currently held and promoted by the government. The recommendation section of the paper, explaining how the government should respond to opposing views, was the only part I posted because it was the most shocking. I suggest you read the full paper to understand many of the suggested tactics. It contains suggestions that, to me, are unfathomable and devious in the extreme, coming from such a high and respected office.

I think Obama's administration has implemented some of the Sunstein recommendations. Furthermore, this would explain much of the so-called "Obot" behaviour at Free Republic regarding the eligibility issue....their constant presence, quick response in placing the first Reply to a post, the tenacious and repetitive arguments, toying with and ridiculing posters, the use of sarcastic humor, and leading the discussions deliberately in endless circles. It is obvious to me that many of the more rabid Anti-Birthers are more than simple "armchair posters" and are here for one reason.... because of the policies shaped by the Sunstein paper recommendations.

Hope this sheds some light on my reasoning? Of course, it is only my opinion, but I believe it is a share opinion. God Bless!
