With an average of 29 homicides a year since 2003, news of a fatal shooting in Hartford this month was not rare. News that a woman, 32-year-old Quiana Dismuke, was the victim was also not unheard of.
But the fatal shooting of Dismuke outside her home on Edgewood Street stands out from other homicides in the city, experts say, because the suspect in her killing is another woman.
"It's very atypical, what happened in Hartford," said Susan Koski, an assistant professor at Central Connecticut State University who teaches gender crime and gender justice.

"Typically, women don't commit violent crimes," she said.
Delitrice Medina, 33, has been charged with murder, illegal discharge of a firearm and illegal use of a firearm. According to Dismuke's family and friends, the women used to be friends until about a year ago when they had a falling out over money Medina allegedly stole from Dismuke.
State and national statistics show that men overwhelmingly commit more violent crimes than women.
Since 2000 in Connecticut, men have consistently accounted for about 90 percent of the convictions for the most serious violent crimes murder, manslaughter and first-degree assault even though the total number of such convictions has declined in the last five years.

They tell me that a woman can do anything a man can do — but then they profess surprise when she does.
Their made-up names tell us what the media won't (though even when names aren't given, I can usually guess with great accuracy just by reading the details of the crime).

Quiana Dismuke vs Delitrice Medina...
Two Harford gang-bangin goons going at it. I lived there... They are animals, particularly in North Hartford.
“It’s very atypical”... said Susan Koski, an assistant professor at Central Connecticut State University who teaches gender crime and gender justice. “Typically, women don’t commit violent crimes.”
“Gender Justice”? Another pointy-head dumb-ass liberal lost in her tenure-guaranteed fantasies.
“State and national statistics show that men overwhelmingly commit more violent crimes than women.”
B.S. This is a lopsided statistic because MOST MEN WILL NOT REPORT DOMESTIC ABUSE COMMITTED AGAINST THEM.
“Since 2000 in Connecticut, men have consistently accounted for about 90 percent of the convictions for the most serious violent crimes murder, manslaughter and first-degree assault even though the total number of such convictions has declined in the last five years.”
Let’s see the actual numbers... 90 percent of HOW MANY TOTAL? 10? 50? 100? Funny they do not report that fact, which, if relatively small in size would prove the bias. Let us also see the breakdown by race and ethnicity, as I am certain those figures will tell a story that the media in no way wants revealed.
Not so surprising if the lesbian word is involved in at least one of those ladies.
Boy, those amish sure have funny names.

Sounds like a Lover’s Tiff.
Because typically they get their boyfriends to do it for them. Guess this girl was between boyfriends.
It’s a good thing we have “gender crime and gender justice” studies to help erase any hint of the actual (and politically-incorrect) causes of crime.
