Unique, why have you not answered these questions? Is it too hard to answer? Here, I’ll copy them for you so you can have easy access to them.

Okay, what is your position on:

Abortion

Euthanasia or doctor assisted suicide

Homosexual marriage

Homosexuals in the military

To mention a few.

I have no power to “take your money”. The government did it and now they have no means to make good on the “promises” without stealing it from someone else. Someone steals from you so you are entitled to steal from someone else (who is a kid or perhaps has yet been born) in order for you to be made whole?

Wake up to reality.

The only thing in the middle of the road is a yellow stripe.

_____________________________________________

Cute, childish and insipid, but cute.

What is found in the middle of the road in American politics is a majority of voters. Neither true Conservatives nor true liberal/socialists have enough votes to win a national election.

Neither side can win without that middle. In 2008 O/B got 66.9 million votes and M/P got 58.3 million. O/B won the middle, the White House and the privelege of selecting two radical leftists to serve on the SC for the next thirty-forty years.

The middle votes money not social policy. If we lose the middle again he will get at least one more SCOTUS pick, maybe two. That would guarantee generations of a SCOTUS that would make the Ninth Circuit in California look like a William F. Buckley fan club.

Every Conservative principle would fall during the next half century. Roe v Wade would be made permanent. International Law would be adopted as US law. Gun rights, gone. The country we love would be destroyed.

Get cute with that, sport.

If someone says "Keep everything pro-life out of Tea Party rallies", there is really just one response:

NO.

That makes no sense whatsoever. If you aren’t a social conservative, that means you support enormous spending on social programs. Social liberals and social moderates have made it clear you cannot get out of spending one dime to these programs and still consider yourself social liberal/moderate. Look at Scott Brown. He had to fund every cent of Planned parenthood.

And what of social conservatives who don't favor 'the nanny state'?

Not everyone shares your views on fiscal issues.

I agree. What’s to stop Neo-Nazis from pamphleting the gathering?

Perhaps that was the policy, the story is just written from this one pamphleteer’s perspective.

Even the Republican Party platform is pro-life.

Barely.

States have been changing the per baby rationale so it may not be the incentive it once was.

My assumption is not effected. The probability that a welfare class member will have an abortion is higher than a non-welfare class member. That does NOT mean that there are more abortions in the welfare class than in the non-welfare class.

People really should understand what is said before getting too upset about it.

If conservatives, of which I am one and doggedly pro-life, try to turn the Tea Party movement into a distinctly pro-life lobby, it will reduce it’s impact on government spending and fragment the Tea Party momentum.

1) No one is trying to do this. We just don't want these issues to be turned away. They are fundamental to the debate.

2) You have it backwards. If so-called TEA Party "leaders" try to make the TEA Party a purely fiscal group, THAT will fragment the movement and hurt its momentum.

Allowing other issues means that people who don't agree on the other issues will leave.

You have it backwards... and you're not alone on this thread. If you try to bar like-minded conservatives from a seat at the table, they will leave. And guess what... they are your only hope.

Your logic of if not A then B makes no sense. There are plenty of people who consider themselves social cons who also favor socialistic security and Medicare. Sure, they hold pro-life positions but their belief in the need for social programs makes them more akin to liberals then they would ever want to admit.

They simply don’t want to acknowledge the bill that has come due for big government programs and nor do they have any concrete solutions to the problem. If the standard is that you cannot be a conservative if you are not a social con then the same holds true that if you do not believe in limited government and the need to eliminate socialistic programs then you are merely a socially conservative liberal.
