Where is the actual proof that Soros bailed Trump out in 2008? So far all there seem to be are allegations that are not supported by any actual facts.
I’m not saying that he could not serve, and probably serve rather well as President. I am saying he is WAY too smart to make a serious run for it.
Could be, but Trump also has five kids, and much more deterioration in the US economy could spell the end of most of his wealth. He might decide that the latter phase of his active life would be best spent reversing some of the deterioration. I guess it will depend on what his primary motivations are at this stage of his life.
Reality 101. Trump is not running for president, but his “media presence” gives some great advantages as shown in the original posting.

Reality 101 is that you are not a mind reader. I'm not saying Trump will run, but many things are at play, including a threat to the economy that supports Trump's business and way of life, and the way of life he doubtless wants to leave for his kids. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Trump could hand them a precise map of what he is doing and how to take advantage of it, but our fearless GOP presidential wannabees would find a way to screw it up. Each and every one of them will be finding a way to polish Zero’s butt, they are scared to death of being caught criticizing him.
If you consider him to be a serious candidate at this point in time, that’s your prerogative, I don’t.

Trump has built his career and dynasty. He is at an age now where other considerations are of equal importance to him, I believe. Such as his place in history, the welfare of his grand kids (another is on the way this very moment), the welfare of the country he loves that allowed the freedom for his success, something totally new to do - a new challenge, his belief that Obama is screwing everything up, his hating that our country is becoming third rate and that other countries laugh at us. I think the timing is perfect for Trump to actually go for it, to run for President, and to win, as losing is not in Trump’s vocabulary.
Trump’s eldest son and his daughter Ivanka, are now extremely savvy about all of Trump’s business dealings, and in the interim of his Presidency, were he to win, he could safely turn over control to his children and feel secure in knowing they will keep his business dealings running smoothly, with minimal input needed on his part other than overseeing to make sure he has the ultimate decision-making authority. I can’t think of a better time for Trump to actually run than now. If he truly would like to be Prez, now is the time that he has the best and only chance to do so. If he backs out, no one would trust any further future attempts on his part to run at all.
Trump has toyed with the idea of running in the past, so we all know it has been and is on his mind. What a legacy he would have to pass down to his young son by his current wife than to add the title of POTUS to his resume. I’m thinking that all of this is what The Donald is thinking about these days. He may have felt unsure about a bid in the beginning, but considering the enthusiasm he is encountering everywhere he goes, I think if there were some doubts about running, they may be gone now. The only impediment I see in this scenario is his having to divest himself of his financial holdings, and the difficulties that may incur from having to do so. Otherwise, I think The Donald is seriously considering a run. We will see. Que sera sera........the future’s not ours to see.
Exactly.... and no smart candidate is telegraphing their moves now. Nothing serious will happen until the end of the year, or more probably Q1 of 2012.

For the first few months/years, everyone sucks up to you. You are told by your staff you are perfect. Then you realize that they are BSing you, and you begin to doubt everything and everyone around you.
All your most trusted advisers and your Cabinet officials are always pizzing on each other. State is always fighting Defense. EPA and Interior are always at war with Commerce. Treasury/Banking is always at odds with Labor, and everyone hates Justice. CIA and State and Defense are always in a three-sided all out war.
Next, you realize that everyone wants you to do everything, but in ways the Great Unwashed never understand, you are powerless. You can launch nuclear bombers, but you can't stop a terrorist attack. You can make all the speeches you want about jobs, but you can't hire anyone.... at least in the private sector.
You find out that the people you think are your best friends are the ones leaking to the press.... and the press makes up facts to support their view of things. If you are a liberal, you are never liberal enough for the libs. If you are Conservative, if you don't put a statue of John Birch on the WH lawn, you you are not conservative enough.
Every time you say something, the media finds someone who disagrees with you. You could announce that 6+4 = 10, then within 12 hours the president of the International Base Eight Mathematics Foundation would get on the network news disagreeing with you. (BTW, if you didn't get New Math in school, Base Eight is just like Base Ten.... with your thumbs cut off)
You can never just go out for a pizza, you can't prowl the mall with the kids, you can't fart or scratch down there in public without 20 photographers capturing it. Hell, you can't even drive a car on a public street!
Worst of all, you never have the ability to make an individual decision that really helps someone. You never decide what is best. You can only decide what is “less worse.” Every easy decision, or one with winners and losers is made 5 levels below you. You only get to (and have to) make the decisions where everyone gets screwed, and your only decision is who gets screwed less.
Trump is way too smart to get involved with this krep, take the pay cut or put all his assets into the required blind trust.

Well, whether he runs or not (funny how so many people want that suck job, as you portray it), he is performing an incredible service just outing Obama and his Admin. Fine by me. But I wouldn’t totally count Trump out. There is something to be said for men with larger than life egos or nationalistic feelings who want to go down in the history books as POTUS.
I never expect every one to be for Trump. You have the duty to push for the candidate of your choice. That does not make you my enemy. When primaries are over, and a winner emerges, that is when we must stand together and work against the Kenyan Socialist because 4 more years of him in power will finish this country off for 2 to 4 decades.
Agreed! We have north of 12 months to go before a nominee will emerge. I pledge to support whoever that nominee is because Obama is 1000 times worse than any of them.

What is your point? There are allegations in a complaint, based on “information and belief” that there was a RICO conspiracy between Soros and Trump, nothing more. No facts supporting this assertion are alleged and none were ever developed or shown. It seems the suit was dismissed without there ever being discovery that would have provided any such facts and that dismissal was affirmed on appeal. The mere general allegation in a complaint that was tossed does not prove anything.
