Madison — Speaking to a tea party rally ringed by protesters outside the state Capitol, Sarah Palin defended Gov. Scott Walker's stance against public employee unions and then took aim at both the national Republican Party and President Barack Obama.

The former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee addressed a crowd of thousands that was whipped by sleet and near-freezing temperatures nearly one month into spring.

Wisconsinites just wanted Sarah to feel at home.

Did you go?

I couldn't, I had to babysit two grandkids.
Palin had thousands today, Trump had hundreds, yet he is the latest hero on FR. Go figure.

and just for further clarification, she didn’t “rally” - she “took Obama’s policies apart, piece by commie piece, beat his empty suit senseless with the cold hard hammer of truth, and testified to the joy of freedom, American exceptionalism, God, the Constitution, industriousness, self-reliance and free enterprise, with liberty and justice for all”.

Just sayin...

Not necessarily. There are tons of Palin threads on here that started with the live thread this morning and I’ve been posting pictures on a lot of threads today of the Madison events. Just search her name and you’ll see.

I’ve read posts that said Freepers who formerly supported Palin are now supporting Trump. Even my husband said something about Trump being a good president. I said - he’s not a conservative. My husbands response was - he’s a business man. I’m thinking there are too many fair weather Pail supporters out there. Have faith, folks!

Those FReepers worth their salt will come around as more and more information comes out about who Trump is. He is democrat and a liberal. There may be some who will be stubborn and can't bring themselves to accept that they made a mistake about Trump. Such is life. Any of the Republican contenders would be better than Trump. Any of them.

Use Trump while the media pays attention......he can grab the State Run Media attention on some issues...

Vote Palin when it comes down to it. If she doesnt run—draft her.

Hey liberals, I know Palin annoys you. The bottom line remains that we don’t have the money for to pay for the nanny state anymore. Even more true is the fact that we never did....which is why the federal and state budgets are going broke.

We’ve been headed toward this day of reckoning since the late 70’s....but, any and all attempts to bring the spending trajectories under control have been demagogued by the left as ‘throwing grandma into the snow.’ While this was good politics for the left, it never good leadership!!!

So, here we are: Medicare, medicaid, social security, and state pensions and benefits are finally being looked at seriously. It’s a big mess that would have been easier to resolve in the 90’s, 80’s or 70’s but, your so called leaders prevented it from happening.

The truth is, you lefties should be thankful the demagoguery isn’t working anymore. We might, and I mean might, have a chance to save the economy before it gets driven over the cliff. Defined benefit plans are going to be replaced by defined contribution plans. Medicaid will be sent to the states. Medicare will turn into a government subsidized insurance program. SS will be fixed too.

And, by the way, no one is thrilled about this. We’re simply doing the math. It’s called being an adult. You should try it.
