A Report on Trump, West at the Boca Tea Party rally today (vanity - Freeper "Untwist")

I was at that rally today and there are a few key points missing. There were several speakers and the lead-in to Donald Trump was none other than Col. Allen West. Cong. West rocked the place when he defended his vote against the budget deal and reminded everyone that the “cuts” were already spent before Obama even signed it. West also rocked Obama as Commander in Chief and the reckless, leaderless attack on Libya. There were many Trump / West 2012 signs in the crowd - very interesting that the 2 were speaking at the same event.

The pre-speech band was a mostly black jazz band that played Route 66 and rocked the place. The lead singer raised a cheer when he said ‘I thought the Tea Party is racist and then pointed to the many black folks at the event, participating fully. Tito Puente jr. played there and is a fantastic drummer like his dad and rocked Santana’s Oye Como Va. The so-called racist white audience rocked to it and there were latins participating as well.

Donald Trump has a very attractive, magnetic speaking style. No political mumbo jumbo, just very straight, easy to follow common sense conversational style. This I think is going to make him very formidable. Although he had some papers with him on the lectern, it appeared to be an outline and not a word-for-word speech. No TOTUS here. He comes across as very authentic and this is speaking to a very smart, no-nonsense tea party crowd. Spoke very bluntly about how he goes to Qatar and they have the most modern airports and infrastructure and then comes back to LaGuardia airport and is embarrassed at the comparison. Explains very easily how there is no recovery with the price of oil where it is, up 67% since Obama came in and we are not drilling. Notes the impact of inflation on the cotton industry and how this impacts price of clothes. Talks straight about how he knows smart, educated people from Latin America and Europe and other places that come to him for help to get into the country and could help grow our economy and be a credit to America. Very straight - we get the borders and immigration under control and stop bringing in criminals or we have no country.

The crowd shouted for him to talk about Obama’s scandals and very straight talked about how he himself went to Wharton and knows lots of people with kids with straight A’s can’t get into Harvard. He said ‘how did somebody with lousy grades like Obama get into Harvard in the first place?’ Crowd asked about Rezko and Ayers. The Ayers part was probably best and Trump without flinching said he believes Ayers wrote the first book and it was like Hemingway wrote it. The 2nd book he bluntly said he read and no way was written by the guy who wrote that first book. Flat out said ‘it’s like comparing chicken salad to chicken sh**’. Explained that it used to be when you win a war you win it and get the spoils. With him in charge he will take control of Iraq and that he has friends with knowledge on the situation who assures that once we leave Iran will take Iraq and are planning it already. Blasted Obama on Libya and made it very clear that in Iraq and Libya we will take the oil profits to pay ourselves, our allies and pay us with a profit.

All this and more was very well delivered and I can tell you the Tea Party loved it.

Trump never had the least interest in the Tea Party until he decided to seek the Presidency.

I know everyone is ripping Trump for all his past statements and positions. But how refreshing it is, from ANYONE, R or D or Neutral before their names, to hear these things.

Our political speeches are SO packaged and pre-tested and analyzed and scrubbed of reality.

It’s refreshing to hear Trump and Palin.

Excellent.

I think Trump does want to see it though...it's called a legacy!

Great reports!! Plus Trump said he wants to break the ice. Break the barrier that keeps people with a long business history out of politics because inevitably such people have made some bad decisions and screwed people too. Such people have too much of a past that can be used by the commie media to slime them. Trump is kind of humble on that and if he emerges a winner perhaps other successful business men will take a shot at politics

Lord knows we have enough slimy lawyers (Obama, Biden, Harry Reid) running the show. We need more businessmen, doctors and engineers in elective office

Trump says he will put our military on the border. That alone is enough to have me voting for him!

I love tariffs. Trump can’t slap them on China soon enough! Should have been done 20 years ago. Unlike other freepers I am not a free trader, I am not a libertarian, I can see world markets are rigged and we play the sap due to a loser “free market” ideology that has Americans and freepers entranced

We run a 600 billion dollar trade deficit due to oil/energy imports and Chinese/Asian imports. What more proof do you need that we are being scammed? That we have to import less and make more at home. And produce more oil/natural gas/energy here at home

If old Donald gets a buzz cut on the hair do and gives the proceeds to Wounded Warrior...., I’m in.

That's why this is a watershed moment...a sea change.

The truth is kicking down the lies!

And Obama is the biggest liar around! The Son of Lies!

You hit another major point of Trump’s speech. As you say, he is very up front about great people of business do not want to get involved and have their personal and business lives subject to media scrutiny. He pulled no punches when he said there are many nice people making these deals we have with India and China. I just love his style when he says he doesn’t want those kind of people. He says with authority that he knows the toughest, nastiest business people in the world and does business with them and they are the ones who he wants negotiating for our country.

He is doing a brilliant job so far framing the argument. I was standing maybe 50 ft. away, directly facing his left profile. He was standing in the hot sun, no shade and talking very matter-of-fact, very comfortable. He knows his stuff and he is not the kind of guy who is going to get into all the political process and garbage we are sick of.

I sense he will put the media on trial and embarrass them like he did the other day with Meredith on the Today Show. He and his team will be very upfront and all this attack from Rove and the Left that he is a joke will be exposed as empty, whistling past the graveyard.

I was very skeptical and still not totally sold on Trump as a true shortlist candidate. But one thing I left with is that the guy is no joke. He is a very serious, mature man who may very well turn the campaign to his terms. I would not be saying this if the audience was anything other than the Tea Party. The media, the Leftist Democrats and the establishment GOP are terrified of the Tea Party, and Trump made the calculated decision to take his case to them first. In my view, from the crowd response, it went very, very well. Having Allen West speaking at the same event and introducing Trump is also quite telling. Let’s see what happens.

There’s just one thing every Repub candidate better learn from Trump: the ONLY way to clobber Obama and win the next election is to boldly, unabashedly, aggressively attack Obama in every way possible - his record, his decisions and non-decisions (”present”), his statements.

No wishy-washy RINO is going to do this.

Trump’s seeing the response he is for this one reason: he’s attacking vigorously, seriously.

I love Sarah, but she needs to drop the being cute & funny, and get serious and aggressive 100% of the time, just like Trump is doing.

“I can see world markets are rigged and we play the sap due to a loser “free market” ideology”

I totally agree that we have terribly regulated ourselves out of the manufacturing industries. I did not like NAFTA or CAFTA for the reason that there is no level playing field. We know the union story, we have years and years of regulations that wiped out our textile and assembly business and still they want higher taxes and more spending. My thought is that either China pay for the markets we gave them via import tax or truly open markets for our goods, especially foods, without their restrictions. Trump is ready to play hardball on these treaties and commercial deals and as he says, we hold the cards. The USA is a special place and needs to be treated as such.

Reagan was a Democrat and a head of a Union before he was a Republican.

I have a hard time thinking of Trump doing Soro’s bidding - apparently even the nothing burger Obama is falling down on that job.

Sarah did this today IMO.

I love that she went after the GOP as well as that communist in the WH. The old boys network is absolutely complicit in the destruction of the USA and we in the middle class are expected to pay the price for their malfeasance.

I’m so pissed at what has been done to us...Sarah speaks for me and who knows, maybe Trump does also. If Trump speaks for me it’s because of his ego as an American is insulted by this great country being willfully trashed by that sneaky anti-American reprobate who got himself elected.

You are right. In open debate I suspect Trump could crush Obama. Putting the Birth Certificate aside, Trump would kill him on China, the handling of Iraq and now Libya, Obamacare, and on and on. Trump is very smart and I am sure can argue all sides of an argument effectively. His tendency to be very direct is clearly a byproduct of his New York life.

I love Sarah, too. She has rock-solid principles and is a true patriot. Her instincts seem to always be spot-on and this is because she no doubt loves the country so much.

In terms of wisdom and just plain smarts, Trump is formidable. It is right to have a lot of questions about what his motives are in this campaign. One thing I get from seeing him is that he is a proud American and also has a high degree of self-pride. I don’t think he would get into any situation that he believes will reflect badly on himself. He is a very effective communicator and can do a lot with the campaign angle he is taking. This campaign is starting to get fun.

Glad to hear this. I trust Sarah. I don’t trust Trump.

Who one is is revealed in their past - true of Obama, Trump - and Sarah.

Media ignores this. As Obama’s election and presidency proves, we are in great peril to ignore this.

I cannot ignore Trump’s past. I do believe he is sincere, and motivated because of how sick he is at what O has done to our country. But I cannot trust his value system and world view for the difficult if not impossible decisions that our next president will have to make.
