Trump addresses tea party crowd in Boca Raton (hundreds gathered)

Sounding increasingly like a candidate, Donald Trump repeatedly told a raucous tea party crowd today he has the qualities needed in the White House and the conservative ideals necessary to seal the Republican nomination should he decide to run.

Trump struck familiar themes and talked about his own business acumen in his speech to hundreds gathered at a park here, where his name festooned signs, buttons and T-shirts of supporters. The real estate mogul even talked about the type of people he'd have serve as diplomats and said he was looking forward to releasing his financial disclosures.

"Most very successful people, the kind of people that we need running our country, don't want to be scrutinized and abused," he said. "This is the kind of person that this country must have right now."

He derided President Barack Obama, calling him the worst to occupy the White House in history. He again questioned whether the president was born in the U.S., even though the fact has been affirmed by officials in Hawaii, where Obama was born. And he maligned China, saying the U.S. should take control of Iraqi oil and described American infrastructure as third world.

Trump ticked through a number of issues seen as bedrocks for conservative candidates, saying he is anti-abortion, against gun control and wants to repeal Obama's health care law. Throughout the speech, he portrayed the U.S. as a nation in decline and himself as its potential savior.

I recall an incident with an elderly lady who said Obama was a muslem. McCain grabed the mic out of her hands very rudely and said something to the extent that no,no Obama was a good man and would make a good POTUSA. That moment told us the election was rigged. I don’t think Palin had any idea that McCain was a sellout, should have read the Viet Nam history a bit more.

THANK YOU.

All telling quotes, and accurate.

Listen to Mark Levin’s April 15th broadcast for even more ammunition exposing the real Trump.

Comparisons of the sudden Trump transformation to conservatism to Reagan’s awakening by previous posters on this thread are especially offensive.

With that attitude, we’ll end up with Romney, you think he can beat Bambi? Every Rino senator is NOT A CONSERVATIVE, what’s new?

Talk about inside out logic. You think Sarah is being trashed because she’s too soft? And Trump ‘knows how to go after them’?

So Palin being constantly trashed has nothing to do with the fact that they hate Sarah Palin because she is a conservative and actually lives conservative values, while they know Trump is a NY lib in republican clothing who may just be working for Hillary on the side? In other words, they attempt to assassinate Palin every chance they get, while Trump gets some mild chiding.

Sorry but nothing they have done to him even comes close to what they have done to her.

If Sarah Palin needs to learn to be ruthless, then every republican male in this country needs to have an iron rod shoved up their spine and brass hung off them because she’s way ahead of all of them comparatively.

Don’t get me wrong, I like what Trump is doing bringing up the birth certificate and social security number problems Obama has. Someone has to do it and he has the resources and media/lib connections to get away with it. I would even vote for him over Romney and most of the other elites running. But he’s not a real conservative and there are an awful lot of strings being pulled and manipulation going on here. We need to be cautious and know who is pulling the strings.

Trump is doing good ground work, but no way I put him ahead of Palin, Cain, or some of the other real conservatives in the party.

I only made one statement to which you added a bunch of other comments. Yes, without quotations but you ended it all with “nailed it”.

No, I ended it with "Nailed it"?

“I believe he has our best interests at heart”

Why do you think he gives a rats behind about “our best interests”? He’s always been about himself. Why would that suddenly change?”

WHY?? Because in the end ,he is tied to whatever happens here,Question, Back why the animosity towards someone who is fighting our common mortal enemy? Too me that is helping the Democrats!Just thought you should Know.

I see Allen West going places in the near term. He is simply a major stud in so many ways, a real man. It’s like you feel that political correctness will melt in fear of this guy. He has very solid instincts for what the people are all about and he is so in tune. I just think he is too big for his House seat. We will see...

Just as any self-serving, unprincipled mogul would do. “

Its what he would do with any one of us.

And are any here under the impression that politicians are more highly principled than moguls?

“I’ll take the businessman over the politician. The businessman doesnt have the luxury of doing a losing deal and walking away. It can ruin his business. The politician can simply lay the blame on others and walk away.

Oh I like Palin, but the Gosh, Golly Gee thing wont do her any good unless she learns to become ruthless.”

I don’t see that about Sarah. If you haven’t done it yet get “Going Rogue” and read it. She wanted to RIP into Obama during the last election, and the McCain people sabotaged her at every turn, and then were responsible for a lot of the vitriol from the press, including blaming her for the loss, and accusing she and Todd of being thieves. Most of it appeared to come from staffers, and not from McCain’s instructions, but by the time they were done she was disgusted by the whole process. That is why the family’s opinion has been the foremost factor in her decision whether to run this time. She has said many times that most of America hasn’t seen a fraction of a Palin campaign yet. They don’t call her a Mama Grizzly for nothing.
Also she and Todd have run a successful business for years, and have made a comfortable living off of it. She’s no billionaire like Trump, but she knows business every bit as well, and probably more about business ethics.
I’m beginning to see the race play out like this: Trump could very well be our sledgehammer this election, but Sarah is a finely crafted, razor sharp rapier.
Also don’t forget that Sarah has very loooong coattails, and could go a long way to making sure we take the senate as well as the presidency. She has proven she has the Midas touch.

"I can’t wait to see more Obama shuck and jive on the birth certificate."

If Trumps runs seriously, in a year there will be 25,000 billboards nationwide saying "Where's the Birth Certificate" and a commercial every hour, on every TV and radio station exposing Obama's past associations, records and dirty deals.

Trump will PAY for good information and will pay for expert investigators.

Yes, a year from now Obama will not be able to appear in public anywhere without being asked "the question".

He will be forced to produce a legitimate long-form Birth Certificate to win again. Even then his racist and commie associations and past is likely to dismantle him.

Obama is a sinking ship.

Yeah, I hear ya! The same thing happen with Arnold, Rudy, Willard and Scotty up in Massachusetts. Trump is just the latest rino the moderates and liberals in the GOP and on this forum have gone gaga over. Rockefeller Republicanism is alive and well in 2011.

I couldn’t agree more. Let’s use him for our purposes, for as long as he’s useful. But we can’t let the media force us into nominating him.

Attitude? There’s no difference between Rommey and Trump. That’s what. If Romney is such a disgusting option, why is Trump any better?
