Karl Rove on how Donald Trump's birther obsession hurt his presidency chances, Obama's Paul Ryan fixation and 'hot mic' comments and more.
(Excerpt) Read more at realclearpolitics.com ...
Karl Rve is inconsequential in the scheme of po9litical events. He proved himself a big spender in the Bush administration, and why FOX NEWS features him ad nauseum is beyond me!
Karl Rove is like George Costanza.....whatever he says do the opposite!
That is exactly what I was thinking.
Outside of their own small, but extremely loyal, Fan Clubs, both Sarah Palin and Nancy Pelosi have abysmally high Unfavorable ratings among voters.
Your neighbor's pet cat has as much of a chance of being elected President of the United States in a general Presidential election as either one of them.
If Nancy Pelosi, with Unfavorable numbers in the same ballpark as Sarah Palin, was being touted as a Democratic nominee for President by a vocal 40% of the Democratic Party, I am sure that saner heads among the Democrats would describe her chances in a general election as "a joke".
The Democrats, however, are not crazy enough to actually believe that Nancy Pelosi should be nominated as the Democrat Presidential candidate in 2012. Therefore, there is no need for the Democrats to point out the obvious.
As far as The Donald is concerned, his candidacy is as Trojan Horse as it comes:
Are you old enough to remember how Slick Willie became President of the United States in 1992 with only 43% of the vote?
Can you say "Ross Perot"?
The Wall Street Journal: Trump Will Probably Run as Independent If He Doesnt Win GOP Nomination.
Can you say "Barack Obama was reelected in 2012 with 43% of the vote after the anti-Obama vote was split by The Donald and his registered Democrat, Obama-voting campaign manager"?
My opinion of Trump has just improved considerably.
It says that the remainder of the current crop of declared Republican candidates and teasers are even MORE of a joke.
At least his Reality TV show never featured Kate Gosselin.
Hopefully, a serious and winning GOP contender is waiting for the Comedy Hour to burn itself out before declaring.
Bill Clinton did not declare his winning candidacy until October 2, 1991 ...... only 13 month before the Presidential Election.
I was at a Tea Party rally here in TN today, and one of the attendees said he’d heard that there are several Tea Party groups who are jumping in to endorse Trump as a candidate. Dreadful if true!
“Karl Rove: Trump Is A “Joke Candidate””
In part, I agree with that assessment. I don’t believe Trump is a conservative and I would not support him for president.
But I think Trump is doing everyone an invaluable service by giving Nobama’s hidden records the exposure they deserve. So, in that regard he is not a “joke”.
Romney, Huckaby, and Rove are jokes, however.
In a Heart Beat I would vote for Trump over Obama ( as I see the field of GOP , no one has the guts to tell it like it is but Trump.
Plus he said he would out up 800 Million to run.
Angle and O’Donnell would not have voted for Boehner’s Folly.
No Democrat would go on record calling Pelosi a joke.
Hate to agree with Rover but Trump is an opportunistic bozo albeit a rich one. That said, he can run a lot of interference for a real conservative candidate on the way to the White House.
Rove, wants to run jeb bush, and he will do whatever he can to arrange that, he is a little fat fool. But he would be happy to let obummer win, if it looked better for jeb, the next cycle.
Trump’s own audio clips from Mark Levin show.
Devastating in my opinion, and I’m sad to say they were a real eye-opener to me. Decide for yourself. I would vote for him over Obama still, but this is not good.

I think the Bushes are TOAST! They have been running the country into the ground for TOO long already.
I think the Bushes are TOAST! They have been running the country into the ground for TOO long already.
Old man Bush will have Jeb run. That is his main goal!
I just have one thing to say about that, and that is we
have had enough of the Bush family.
