Don't be a-scurred. obozo is impotent.

That, right there, is the only thing saving us: their impotence and incompetence. Because the American people sure aren't mounting an effective counterattack. Our Congressional prostitutes just lay back and enjoy it. The 2nd Amendment is wholly inoperative against government; Waco ensured that. What is left to us?

"This goes FAR beyond just an internet tax."

Every totalitarian knows you have to control information and the flow of it.

That is why China & the Islamic countries control their internet. Obama wants that.

Yep, I do understand.....

And I feel a bigger “reaction” to this excesses of the left is coming. When it comes it will be time for a new “House Committee on Un-American Activities”. Time to deal with our Traitors.

I don’t have too much of a problem with the concept. It needs to be insanely secure against even quantum attacks, like 2048bits of elliptic curve or something. Also, there has to be many vendors and options for you to pick from.

This is the same White House that cannot even get their own simple HTML links done correctly — the current White House webpage on this subject has a broken link in the initial text:

Today, President Obama released the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC) (PDF).This Strategy seeks to improve security in cyberspace and e-commerce. We can see how this plays out in at least two areas.

I find it a bit hard to trust any evaluation of a design for the entire Internet's safety to goofuses who cannot even keep a single link functioning.

(In all fairness, I also looked at the HTML source for that webpage, and it actually is very nicely done. Kudos to the White House tech staff for such clean and readable HTML.)

That’s why I said with a private company only. I have to give them all that stuff to buy/carry guns now anyway. It sucks, but so far I can deal with it.

I personally don’t think it’s terribly needed though. The main thing this would help against is fraud and if you use something like keepass which generates strong passwords and makes it easy to use a different one for each site you should be fine.

Some people do not mind giving control to others, especially government.

However, some of us have a big problem relinquishing individual rights and responsibilities to others for control and power. Look at governments history....once they take it from you, they only want more.

CONTROL CONTROL CONTROL
POWER POWER POWER
MONEY MONEY MONEY

Pull those threads...it all comes unraveled.

Count me as a NO.

Are you serious?

So you are going to give all of you personal info to the government as a middleman... because you are afraid of shopping online?

This isn't 1991.

The coming Antichrist would be proud: Obamessiah is helping pave the way for his reign:

And he causes ALL, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given A MARK on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that NO ONE will be able to BUY or to SELL, EXCEPT THE ONE WHO HAS THE MARK, either THE NAME OF THE BEAS OR THE NUMBER OF HIS NAME. Revelation 13:16-17 ( NASB Emphasis added)

We are living in amazing days where we can actually see the pieces of the puzzle all coming together in preparation for the coming man of sin on a nearly daily basis. Obama and others hell-bent on creating a "one world system" are Satan's tools to help bring about the conditions necessary for his arrival

I've detected, many times, the yearning for tyranny from obozo.

However, obozo's laziness and incompetence are what have saved us from tyranny. As I often say, if if Hitler liked ice cream, golf, and travelling as much as obozo does, the 1930's and 1940's would have been pretty nice decades!

BS. This is all about TAXING and grabbing your personal communications. Good guys go to jail, lefty’s, students, demoRats, and all of obozo’s buds will snag you and put the wood to you. Take that to the bank, if you have anything left in there.

The White House unveiled a plan on Friday designed to boost confidence and business in cyberspace through the creation of a single, secure online credential.

"But, but Mr. Obama...why do we need such a tool?"

"To more easily identify you when you login, my dear."
