The House on Friday approved a fiscal year 2012 budget resolution from Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) that seeks to drastically limit government spending next year and in years to follow.

NOT BAD
To truly bring the budget in line with revenues (crazy idea, I know) you need about three times that amount. It’s the right direction, but it won’t solve our financial mess.
Woefully missing from this article is any mention of the total amount of the 2012 budget. Does anyone know? I think they should simply return to the same spending levels of the last Republican budget ($2.66 trillion in 2007).
3.5
More can be done in 2013.
I’m assuming at least a thousand new departments, agencies and commissions such have been created since 2007.
A couple billion below the past budget, but it will die in the senate and this fall they will start continuing resolutions for the government to run at current levels. Except there will be a big off budget bill passed as well.
All good....
short of an overwhelming TeaParty House and Senate wins
nothing will save U.S.
2012 may be too late.
