As I posted earlier today to a list of friends & supporters, and a short while ago, on another thread here, this is our opportunity to really go after the Socialist premises:

By any measure, the coming battle over the Federal Budget over the next two years, is one of the most critical confrontations of our times. Fought merely as a question of how much to spend, and how to fund that spending, it has enormous significance. But the real thrust to its importance will depend on the level of understanding that Conservatives bring to the confrontation. Fought merely as a question of how much & how to, it will end in a compromise, and the final destruction of the America we have known may be delayed slightly, but will still proceed. For anything better to result, we must seize the opportunity that Obama's demagoguery offers, and win not only the immediate economic battle, but that on the second front, which goes to all the issues that have brought us to this terrible pass.

To the point! No one but demagogues has really benefitted from the social programs that Obama suggested to justify the outrageous level of Federal expenditures; no one really benefits from excessive taxation of human success; and interestingly, the real victims of the idea of making the most successful pay for the excessive medical expenditures of others, are not really those most successful. Since this is going out to friends who both understand these points and to others who may never have become so involved as to do so, let me offer a brief explanation.

The United States, when they allowed their citizens maximum personal freedom & minimum crutches--and no idea that we owed it to each other to pay each other's medical bills;--when education was local, without layers of meddling bureaucracy trying to force a non-existent, imaginary equality of all children; when families, not bureaucrats, neighbors not leftwing lobbyists, stepped in to help family members and neighbors cope with the unexpected disaster; provided a social background, which permitted so much real growth, that we became the single most powerful collection of people on the face of the earth. The industrial marvel, created before the Welfare State start up in the 1930s, won World War II for the allies; even coasting after the War, arrested the international Marxist threat, and won the Cold War in Europe.

On the other hand, our proportionate share of human achievement has been slipping since World War II; and increasingly slipping since the "Great Society" in the 1960s. Our immigration policy, since then, which--even apart from the undefended Southern border--has deliberately favored those with the fewest earlier ties to Americans during our era of increasing success, is one factor. For every high IQ Asian, who has helped our productivity, there have been several from other regions, who simply increase the percentage of our population who lower the standards in the public schools--not through their own fault, but through the fault of the compulsion driven Leftists who insist on pretending that all children have equal potential--a cruel hoax, that again helps no one--least of all the child with a sub-90 IQ, who is often humiliated, even as it squanders wealth. Anyone who believes that the decline of American school performance, relative to the other advanced peoples, is not related both to this phenomenon, and the equally destructive Federal subsidy that has paid those at the bottom of our society to have children out-of-wedlock, should be challenged as how else to explain it. (And insulting parents, who lack the same aptitudes that their children lack, for not doing more to push their children ahead, is akin to looking to Government to solve all the problems that life has to offer. Both are based on a misunderstanding of the dynamics of normal human action.)

The Welfare State, anti-mainstream immigration policy, a progressive tax system, coupled with burdensome regulations, which reflect the imagination of politicians seeking to make names for themselves, but which make it more difficult for the middle class to accumulate wealth, and generate the dynamic factors that once drove our prosperity; all contribute to America's current decline. The supposed clients of the Leftist bureaucracy do not benefit--not in any way a moral people would value--being stripped both of a large measure of their self-respect (difficult to retain, if not coupled with self-reliance); while the soaring costs of health care in America, reflect the avalanche of Federal money bidding up costs, while replacing the once sacred moral code of practicing physicians, that would not allow them to refuse treatment to one who could not afford to pay, with a more purely materialistic attitude--and an army of file & billing clerks--all of which raise cost. (Everywhere you look, the Leftist mantra is the cause, not the amelioration of human failure.)

In all of this, the least actually afflicted are the high earners, whom Obama seeks to scape goat. Why is that? Because, generally, we are talking about a class that can pass their tax costs on to other people--those who have positions that play major roles in the passage of materials into goods & goods to markets. The struggling middle-class, burdened with all that the Left has provided, cannot pass on their burdens; but the super rich can.

(This is not a reason to excessively tax them; rather, if the moral principle of not taking away the fruits of any honest labor is not enough; it is an additional reason for not taxing them at a higher rate than others--taxes that they will in fact pass on. The Founding Fathers, one must remember, put a provision in the Constitution that forbade any personal taxation that was not per capita--not equal on each. Who will not grant that both their moral fiber & understanding of how a people prosper, was infinitely superior to those in Washington today? Doubt the point. Try reading the Federalist Papers or the correspondence between Jefferson & Madison or Adams, and try to imagine any of the contemporary clown band in positions of power, even trying to explain what the Founders were discussing!)

The final point: The purely budgetary fight needs to be waged with clarity. But all of the "bleeding-heart" appeals need to be confronted directly--never avoided--and the Leftist arguments exposed as the sham, serpentine appeals to all that is base in the human character, which they really are; exposed as premised upon clearly demonstrable fallacies, that will not stand the light of critical analysis. The time has come, when we must bring down the whole rotten edifice of Socialism in America, or watch the destruction of everything we love & value. The financial crisis is our opportunity. We must not neglect it.

We must not allow this demagogue, now profaning the office once defined by the immortal Washington, to successfully implant his false premises into the debate.

Obama’s budget plan:

1)Extract money from private sector through taxes.

2)Grow government union jobs.

3)Unions fund Democrat (re)election.

What a plan!
