Libertarian-leaning Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul has formed a so-called "testing the waters" fundraising account ahead of a possible 2012 presidential run, Paul aide Jesse Benton confirmed to CBS News.
According to Benton, Paul "is close to making a final decision and it is better than 50-50 that he will enter the race in May."
A run by Ron Paul would almost surely mean that his son, GOP Sen. Rand Paul, will not seek the presidency. Rand Paul, who shares many political beliefs with Ron Paul, has been considering a run if his father does not seek the nomination.
Benton said that Ron Paul has already raised more than $1.2 million through his political action committee "to help him weigh his political options," adding that "he has the structure in place to hit the ground running if he makes the decision to run next month." Benton is the director of Paul's political action committee, LibertyPAC.

The main reason I can’t join with libertarians and paulbots is too numerous. Not only because you’re truthers, but because libertarians don’t believe in borders, are for abortion on demand, are for legalization of all drugs, are for gay marriage, and numerous other reasons. Not to mention that you guys are as much a cult as the Obamabots who think the sun rises and sets in his a$$. Paul is a total tool. But you’re too wrapped up in your cult to see that.

I say getting almost 10 million more votes than McLame, the 6th highest popular vote margin in US history, was a landslide. Your opinion may differ, but that's all it is, a difference of opinion.
BTW, as a shareholder in General Dynamics, Boeing, and Lockheed-Martin, I have NO PROBLEM with the “Military-Industrial Complex”.

I don’t fly anymore so TSA doesn’t affect me. I could frankly give a damn about other countries, some of which could use a little destruction by us.

Ron Paul has been an advocate of the gold standard and open competition in currencies for many years. He is the Federal Reserve’s most outspoken opponent in Congress. And the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, was the start of the slow death of our country.

In 2010 you made 7 posts, some of them anti-Israeli foreign policy. This year you have posted on two threads, this one and one about Paul’s win in the CPAC straw poll.
I have to say, IMHO, that even for an infrequent poster, you have shown a growth in information and a sad decline in judgment.

When I run across someone who has been here for a long time and posts something interesting and I don’t remember their names I check their history, which is the reason FR facilitates it. When I saw that you had been here for eight years with less than one page of posting history I looked a little more closely, giving rise to the information I posted. This is one of the duties we owe FR, with all of the trolls around these days. You do not seem to be a troll, but just an infrequent poster who has unfortunately become a Paultard since you joined FR. If I were stalking you I would be following you around from thread to thread, which would be easy, seeing how rarely you post.
I read ‘The Federalist Papers’ in the mid-1960’s Conservative Book Club edition when it was first published, by the way.

Since you have read the Federalist Papers in the 60’s..I take it you are a little older than me. You have really seen our country plunge with both parties in charge. Like I said earlier....I’ll take a stand (even in a losing cause) rather then sell-out to corporate, lobbyist owned, liars who all wanna steal your money and your freedom and give it to someone else. Yep.....I stand with our founding fathers......and if they makes me a “Paultard”, then guilty as charged. :)
In Dr. Paul's case, it will be the voters who won't allow it.
