When it comes to a possible run for the presidency by Donald Trump, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is apparently not among those in the real-estate tycoon's camp, citing Trump's push to make sure President Obama is constitutionally eligible for the job.
During an interview on CNN's "American Morning" today, Cantor was asked, "Would you support a Donald Trump candidacy, especially with all this birther talk?"
The Republican from Virginia said, "No, I don't think he is really serious when we launch a see a campaign launched on the birther issue."
CNN host Kiran Chetry then asked, "But don't you get nervous? You want to defeat the president in 2012. And you want a Republican to take over the White House. Is Donald Trump your best hope right now?
"No, I don't think so," Cantor responded.
Trump has recently skyrocketed to the top of several polls regarding 2012 presidential challengers to Obama.

Mr Canter can explain to We the People at some point exactly why the Rinocrat Oligarchy has permitted the farce of the Obamantion to occur and continue. Was it because of the “opportunity “ an Obama presidency “presented” to the Oligarchy?....
...the quid pro qou was that he open the doors of the treasury to looting by the oligarchy, their friends and family.
What we are not looking for are a bunch of impotent limpwrists which is what the GOP is becoming.
Trump is a lefty fraud and a financial failure. Anyone who votes for that joker would probably also buy a used car from Bozo the Clown.
One Party uber alles...
Didn’t somebody come out with a new book about the GOP Young Guns?
Major refund required.
So funny he does not give a sh*t. He just says what he feels is right.
First Boner, now Cantor.
Better to flush ‘em out early, I suppose.
We now have a litmus test for RINOs.
Now we need to target these RINO’s for extinction!
I have no faith in Cantor. He appears with the creep Joe Scarborough all the time - has dissed the Ground Zero Mosque controversy - and is a generally greasy pol with the ridiculous moniker of a “Young Turk.”
Seems like Gov Palin is the only one sticking up for the Donald. I like how she referred to him as the Donald, btw, was irreverent on her part.
Shows how bipartisan they are. There are ventriloquists behind every one of ‘em (merchants, free traitors, government employees, government-dependent corporates, social lefties).
Rush has alluded to it, and I guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
Cantor and Priebus and even Coulter have tried to distance themselves from this.
If Trump turns out to be a stalking horse for Obama so that he can come out and show the BC after all, or somehow make use of this “crisis” then he will take us all down with him.
What? He’s a capitalist and an opportunist. No one is voting for anybody till election time. If he feels the need to challenge a situation it’s his right to do so and no one can deny it. So relax and enjoy, popcorn please.
Wrong.
If the top is rotten, the whole kit and kaboodle is rotten.
Young Turk.
Rhymes with Young Jerk, so the moniker isn’t far off, just focused on the wrong end of the alphabet.
Trump has spoke on other issues..China, Rezko, Iraq and in a very conservative manner. Doubt he will be the republicans choice to run for president but in the meantime..he is swaying people in a positive way. We have a military doctor doing time in Ft Leavenworth for questioning Obama’s bc...just watch the ride.
