The U.S. military has continued to drop ordinance on Muammar Qaddafi's air defense systems in Libya since the handover of operations to NATO on April 4th, Pentagon Spokesman Col. Dave Lapan told reporters Wednesday.
"We have fighter aircraft... that NATO can use for suppression of enemy air defense missions," Lapan said. He later described them as missions that "attack" those air defense systems.
This stands in contrast to messages heard in press briefings and testimony on Capitol Hill from defense leaders, who have given the impression that when the mission was handed over to NATO U.S. strike sorties stopped and were only available upon request.

I like that. To tell you the truth I misread it at first and thought it was Aimless Fairy and now I wonder...
It was kinetics not war. If Bush were POTUS the loon bins would be protesting and shaving their bushes again; saying no more bush. But it Is Obama and kinetics so it is okay
More like Aimless Fairy.
No surprise.
The scary part is what I heard on the news a little while ago. Apparently 11 of our planes have been designated for NATO control. They can be sent on missions without prior U.S. military approval. We have given up sovereignty over our armed forces. I haven’t found it in an article yet but when I do I’ll post it.
U.S. jets have struck at Libyan targets, even after NATO takeover
The U.S. fighter jets have been assigned to NATO, Lapan told reporters at the Pentagon on Wednesday, and NATO does not have to ask the United States for permission to use the aircraft. Lapan indicated he was disclosing the missions for the first time, and said he simply had not been asked about them before.
NATO, however, does have to ask for permission to use aircraft such as A-10s and AC-130s to strike targets like Libyan armor and troops on the ground in an effort to protect civilians from attack.
Have we ever given another country, much less a multinational organization, operational control over our forces?
“The U.S. military has continued to drop ordinance”
The correct spelling is “ordnance”.

Actually, I have had the impression that the big story was Japan, nuclear danger, more earthquakes, and Yemen. Meanwhile, AOL News has finally put up another Libya story, about this air combat issue. Apparently the fine-tuned distinction is that while they are American they are operating out of the NATO fleet under NATO command. Meanwhile, you can see another 500 photos, which are often more informative with their captions than the main story.

Yup, that is another story that has just dropped out of the news cycle. Seems like the state controlled media has one thing on its mind, keep telling the public that obummer is the best thing for the US since sliced bread.
but W H Y ?
The answer is obvious but brainwashed Americans will not even C O N S I D E R the obvious answer much less believe it.
Obama has supported radicals in both Egypt and Libya who are trying to get control in countries that caused little trouble to the United States. In Egypt it was the Muslim Brother Hood, in Libya, it is Al Qaeda.
Obama is of course at least a Muslim sympathizer if not a radical Muslim himself. By putting radical Muslim regimes in Egypt and Libya, the Zionist days of Israel are numbered, as are those of the United States.
When Sharia law is implemented in the United States and Muslim gangs rape Christian girls with impunity right here in America, remember, Obama set it all up.
Americans will not believe a word of this until Katy Couric and her MSM buddies tell us it is true. Clowns like Obama can lie with impunity.
Or "Deny Reason"
US forces under foreign control/command is nothing new.
The US aircraft currently flying are in a support role. They will be firing AGM-88 HARM where needed to suppress any activation of Libyan radars. Most of the fixed radar sites will have been destroyed, but there is the threat from mobile missile systems.
