I’m reluctant to characterize a fellow conservative as a frothing lunatic, but I understand your secular concern.

Either you’ve written the spiritual dimension out of your worldview, or you have conceded to the enemy. I’d guess the former.

If there is a God, I don’t pretend to know His timing. I believe the world as we know it will end. I’m not sitting around until it does.

Constantine, the Crusaders, Churchill, Reagan and many others in between believed that Christians could make a difference, with God’s will and blessing.

I see no reason to think differently now, whether the end comes next week or a thousand years hence.

Evangelicals have a reason to believe they can positively affect things, and to support whom they see fit. If that makes us lunatics, so be it. History demonstrates otherwise, IMHO.
