I am no Obama fan, but did anyone tell the writer that this is all about the NAFTA treaty that our Senate approved years ago?

NAFTA was passed by a margin of 51-49 or something like that. If it were a treaty, that would mean it FAILED. Treaties require 2/3 of the Senate to confirm.

Yes, you are correct. Certainly defies the will of the American people, but is something we agreed to in NAFTA 20 yrs. ago. The writer is Phyllis Schlafly who certainly knows better.

I'm going to have to look into it. If NAFTA is only a statute, then things just got more interesting.
