try to be a successful real estate developer in New York City or Chicago without greasing the palms of democrats and union bosses. That’s just the cost of doing business in places like that. It doesn’t mean anything.

Maybe so, but at least he’s calling more attention to the BC than anyone else has.

I’m starting to think that Trump is a plant.

The democrats of 1990 would be comparable to today’s Susan Collins or Olypia Snow.

Actually maybe even a bit more conservative.

Trump on the issues.

Just to put it in comparison, here is Rudy's policy chart.

..and Bill Clinton's chart

From ontheissues.org He is way closer to Bill Clinton than he is someone we all agree is a RINO. Heck, on a straight right/left paradigm, he is almost identical to Bill Clinton.

Jeesh...he a BUSINESSMAN, who does business in some pretty BLUE states...he’s just like anyone else in that regard, buying off the powers that be while hedging other bets in the same areas.

Meh.

The guy loves America in a traditional red blooded albeit NY city fashion.

If he’s the nominee I will gladly punch the ballot.

Looks to me like he is covering all his bases as much as he can. I would bet it might be hard to get proper permits and such if he didnt.

Of course, some people dont understand how that works.

It really is amazing how many people here are making excuses for this liberal. Heck, they even try to defend his using eminent domain to seize private property for his personal business development.

The Donald’s business interests require him to be able to work with Democrats and liberals in order to get things done. Political donations to incumbents in places like NY and Chicago are just a cost of doing business. Thinking his previous donations indicate anything about his personal political views is pretty much the same as judging Tiger Woods’ golf game by his performance on a putt-putt course. Trump’s done quite well on the putt-putt courses of NYC and Chicago and Palm Beach... looks like he wants to use his driver in the presidential election. Should be interesting.

It seems to me he has a lot of favors to claim from a diverse group of politicians. It it safe to say they owe him now. This may give him a boost no one thought of.

Pretty smart!!

Well, you can argue about this. I don’t know how many of those politicians were on committees who could have blocked some of Trumps dealings.

But, still, it’s a pretty pathetic list. Most of the Republicans are just about as bad as the Democrats. Newt is the closest thing to a real conservative anywhere on the list.

And there’s the American Crossroads PAC, said to be extremely conservative. Well, apparently that PAC was founded by Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie in 2010. Not exactly what I would call “extremely conservative.”

The same people supporting Trump today probably supported Scott Brown for president 15 months ago.

Trump is not a serious candidate, not a conservative and not a real Republican.

He will probably end up running as an independent at some point and siphon off 5-10% of the Republican vote, thus splitting the right just enough to ensure 4 more years of Obama.

This guy has already said if he doesn’t win the GOP nomination he will likely go independent. Basically, he’s saying if he doesn’t win he will take his ball and go home and screw the party he suddenly claims to belong to.

We are likely to have at least one conservative Supreme Court justice retire between 2012-2016, and it is vital we get an actual Republican in office. Donald Trump is NOT a serious candidate and will never be President of the United States, unfortunately, even if he goes independent there is a small percentage of Republicans that are so fanatical about the BC issue that they will waste their vote on him.

I find it interesting that Open Secrets, that is normally not afraid to post who donated what, said “ the Center for Responsive Politics” said this.... and not Open Secrets. Oh and by their way their link does not work. Hmmmmm????

If this is true, then I will wait to see what Trump has to say about it. Trump has not been a career politician he was out in the real world.

Nice try.... but its not going to work.

Trump has “more guts” than the rest of the Republican candidates

IMHO....
1. He’s NOT a politician.
2. He has nothing to lose, and everything to gain from running.
3. He can’t be hurt politically by the other politicians as he’s not one himself (this scares the hell out of all politicians).
4. He does not need to “spin” anything.
5. As such, he says what he means, and means what he says. This is absolutely the opposite of how politicians frame their words, thoughts, and deeds.
6. He is at least as intelligent as the stain, and has far heavier “street smarts” than the stain’s team
7. He has a wealth of “hands-on” management and administrative skills and experience - the stain (even to this point) has little of either.
8. He knows full well how to market himself, his ideas, and his objectives.
9. He has a fully functional managerial team of proactive experts, and
10. He hates to lose.

Yes....this is gonna be some fight!
