I hope you have no expectation that merely conspiring to deprive citizens of their constitutional rights will be prosecuted.

If guys like Alan Gottlieb and the Second Amendment Foundation were smart, they'd find some black dude (to neutralize the 'racist' thing) who gave up his gun to the police but otherwise has a clean record, and use him to SUE, SUE, SUE. Sue, baby, sue.

Perhaps, but the police couldn't care less if they're sued. They don't pay, the taxpayers pay. The only way to curb police abuses is criminal prosecution and conviction of the individual police responsible for the criminal actions commited under the color of law. Unfortunately this almost never happens. Look at Chris Braga, Lon Hourouchi, etc.

Sue? For what? Voluntarily giving away personal property?

If the police forcibly “TOOK” someones otherwise legally possessed firearm, then a suit may be in order.

These are either feel good morons thinking they are doing some “good” or shady types legally relieveing themselves of illegal arms, not reasonable citizens being forced into something.
