The Washington Times : Trump rides issue of president’s birth [GOP poll puts him at No. 2]
The Washington Times ^ | April 10, 2011 | David Eldridge

Would-be 2012 Republican nominee Donald Trump is riding doubts about President Obama’s birth certificate to the front of the party’s presidential contender field, the latest sign that the long-standing fringe controversy is going mainstream.

The New York real estate magnate and reality show star, fresh off a Wall Street Journal poll that shows him tied for second among Republican voters as their choice for the presidential nominee, jumped back into the “birther” controversy Sunday.

“Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate? The fact is, if he wasn’t born in this country, he shouldn’t be the president of the United States,” the billionaire developer said in a CNN interview that aired Sunday. The Constitution requires that the president be a “natural-born citizen.”

“It’s a very sad thing, because the people - the birthers - they got labeled and they got labeled so negatively and even the word ‘birther’ is a negative word. If you come out and … even question, the press goes wild. They get angry at the question,” he said.

“Who the f* out there actually thinks Romney is good for ANYTHING???

I wouldn’t vote for that POS for dogcatcher and there are “Republicans” willing to list him as their top choice???

Who, who, who???”

Anyone with a brain, and not a lump of sh*t between their ears can see what Mittens is.

The first is that the original so-called "long form" birth certificate — described by Hawaiian officials as a "record of live birth" — absolutely exists, located in a bound volume in a file cabinet on the first floor of the state Department of Health. Fukimo said she has personally inspected it — twice.

There is something on that long form birth certificate that Obama does not want us to see and has spent serious money hiding from us.

Whether it has to do with his place of birth, possibly his real father, or maybe his mother was even younger than she claimed, there is something embarrassing in it.

Trump has enough money to go after it. I strongly suspect Trump knows the secret, but doesn't want to reveal it until the time is right. And, I bet that once the secret is out, Obama's carefully hidden past will come out. There might not be a constitutional disqualifier, but I bet there is something that makes him unelectable. Maybe a lead to a name he used which has a drug felony, maybe something else.

I bet Donald is not wasting his money here.

I completely agree with you. Romney has the face.. that’s it, a face. The idiot Republican party will put that face up there thinking we are that stupid.. it boggles the mind. There will be no candidate that will challenge Obama. He is owed a second term because he is black, and it does not matter a hill of beans what he does to the county.

The article says 51% of republicans believe he was born outside the U.S. Wonder what percentage of democrats believe it. This article “implies” that ALL dems believe he was born in Hawaii. I’ll say ALL OF his WORSHIPPERS believe he is a god.

The census will show where the daddy was born. That will prove islamabama is not eligible.

If he was not born in Hawaii there is none.

I heard Trump’s interview. I did not hear him admit that he had investigators in Hawaii. He said he had people working on it and Viera asked about Hawaii and he answered in the affirmative. I don’t think he even heard her but once it came out he couldn’t deny it. In fact, he may have immediately put two private eyes on an airplane.

Let's hope that Trump gets educated just a little about the real issue, Obama's lack of natural born Citizenship. Obama was born a British Subject and not naturally born an American Citizen, on our soil, of two citizen parents. If Donald doesn't clarify the issue, there is a distinct risk that Obama will say, two weeks before November 2nd, "Here is my birth certificate." I was born in Hawaii, but my parents never married and that was an embarrassment." "All those birther wingnuts have forced me to endure their foolishness for four years." "I hope now that they can appreciate the courage it has taken for the illegitimate child of a couple scorned for being of mixed race to be your leader."

"Knowing that my country needed me, but that the U.S. is still, at its core, a racist nation, I felt that exposing the fact that not only was I black, but an illigitmate child, would incite the racist elements, preventing me from accomplishing what I know the country needs."

The issue is the allegiance into which a child is born. Our framers were unequivocal, and have repeated the definition at least a dozen times, born to citizen parents, on our soil. Every senator in 2008 signed Senate Res 511 in which they claimed, erroneously but clearly, that John McCain, in spite of having been born on foreign soil, was a natural born citizen because he was born of two citizen parents.

“My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff replied. “That is mine, too,” said Leahy.”

They all knew the condition, born of citizen parents, using it to validate McCain, but unwilling to apply it to Obama. The law only applied to the racist white candidate! This is quite clearly a violation of equal protection under the law, but the case, Kerchner v. Obama and Congress, was never heard, because two Obama appointees, both with a clear fiduciary interest in the result, failed to recuse themselves - Sotomayor and Kagan.

Don't believe the continuing lie. Here is one of twenty citiations of our common law, this from 14th Amendment Author, John Bingham, from the Congressional Record. This quote is pertinant because the Obama troops are quoting Title 8, the State Department's expansion of the 14th Amendment, to claim that being born of one citizen parent is sufficient. Remember, the State Department makes law. No law can modify or interpret the constitution - separation of powers. And, nowhere in the 14th Amendment will you find the phrase natural born Citizen.

I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen….
Does anyone believe that Barack Obama Sr., Marxists, Muslim, British-Kenyan, owed sole allegiance the U.S. and its Constitution? That our framers insisted that the most important office to our survival be held by someone whose inherited allegiance was to the U.S. shows their wisdom. The British won't even permit naturalized citizens into Parliament. We allow naturalized citizens such as Obama to hold every office but presidency.

“There’s zero chance that Donald Trump would ever be hired by the American people,” he (David Plouffe) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,”

Hey, if this nation will elect a non-experienced, Marxist Muslim President of the United States, they'll elect anybody.

Romney is just another RINO who would sell out the Conservative cause like most of the other Republicans have done for so many years. Donald Trump: Love him or hate him, he has a pair; something that 99% of the Republicans in D.C. don't have.

We can only HOPE Trump gets into a debate with The Messiah, somehow, and FORCES him to answer questions and produce an Official Birth Certificate......this is the BIGGEST REASON Trump is out there; he’s asking the questions that GOP Contenders refuse to ask, he’s talking about issues that NO GOP Candidate would EVER bring forward.

Populism is one of the most misunderstood political philosophies in history.

Essentially, populism was the last refuge of the "little man"...who had given up and wanted the government to do for him.

I’ve heard him say in a couple of recent interviews that he has people in Hawaii looking into it and that it’s amazing what they’ve been finding.

“Trump will do well.”

I agree, I think he’s a man showing up at just the right time.

He’s got name recognition, he’s patriotic, and he is perceived as a no nonsense businessman who can get a job done.

Also somewhat non-partisan.

I think he could go all the way, not on FR, but in America at large, I do believe he is a contender.

I’d vote for him.

“He was an effective and competent governor of MA. He was brought in by the Olympic committee and the State of Utah to salvage their Winter Olympics ... he turned a sorely mismanaged Olympic effort, ready to go tits up, into a resounding success. What the f*** has any other potential pubbie presidential candidate done? Zip ...”

Not to mention success in business, with companies like Staples.

I’m in the last 100 pages of Donald Rumsfeld’s book (”Known and Unknown”).

What Rumsfeld says about John McCain and Lindsey Graham going over to Uzbekistan makes me wish I could hang both of them for treason.

McCain is a leftist scum...

McCain is a leftist scum...

I won’t vote for any of the previous presidential losers from the last election.

Palin wasn’t running for president, so she gets a second and third look...

Trump scares the living shiite out of the Left...

Donald Rumsfeld would be my favorite, but I don’t think there are enough intelligent people in this country or the Republican party to actually pick up his book and read what he has done in the service of our country...

If the GOP comes up with some retreaded RINO, they are finished.

Yes. McCain is a leftist scum. For me, he’s the biggest disappointment of the 2010 elections. Bigger than the Boxer win or the Reid win.

The fact that McCain kept his job in 2010, using money he fraudulently collected in 2008 (under the pretense of running for President), is the most depressing thing about that election year.
