Alternative To The Day Of Silence The Day Of Dialogue

Why We Fight for Student Free Speech

This year, April 15 is more than just the due date for your income tax returns – it’s the pro-homosexual, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender Day of Silence, in which students are encouraged to remain silent all day to support “equality” for homosexuals.

As a high school or college student, do you wish your classmates could hear more of the story—like the truth about God’s deep love for us and what the Bible really says about His redemptive design for marriage and sexuality? Wouldn’t it be nice if a deeper and freer conversation could happen when controversial sexual topics are brought up in your school?

The good news is, it can—and that’s where Day of Dialogue comes in.

In contrast to the whole idea of silence, this is a day that encourages open dialogue.

Because Focus on the Family firmly believes that the truth will rise to the surface when honest conversations are allowed to happen. And that’s why we’re so excited to announce that we’ve become the sponsor for this event.

I certainly hope that Cy-Fair ISD will not allow this...I wonder if we could have a day of silence in public schools to stand for marriage between 1 man 1 women? I bet not....That would portray they we hate sin and deviant behavior..

I guess I’m not “PC” enough to understand all this. Our culture celebrates homosexuality. In some measures such as education, income, business ownership, etc. homosexuals as a group are superior to the national averages.

In some areas, such as health, the homosexual community is behind, but some of that is due to health and sexual choices made by those individuals.

Is all of this due to the campaign for homosexual marriage? But once we see 50 state homosexual marriage, will that be enough to satisfy certain people???? Will they then say that true equality has been achieved????

Actually, this year April 15 is not the due date for income tax returns. April 16 is “Emancipation Day” in the District of Columbia and because it is on a Saturday, the holiday was moved to Friday, so the whole country gets until Monday for the deadline.
