So if Boehner had gotten the $61 billion in cuts instead of $38, so-the-hell-what?!
Freepers are crying because he got 1% instead of an ultra-conservative Tea Party approved 2%?

Obamacare marches on
Planned Parenthood abortion mills march on
EPA regulatory tyranny marches on
NPR marches on
Etc.
What rock have you been under?

It is all about numbers. Take the amount we need to save, divide by the number of years it will be acceptable and reasonable to eliminate the debt and that is what is needed each year. It has nothing to do with sypporting theTea Party or GOP position.

Who said anything about 2% Mr. Cynical?
I want 70-80% over the next ten years.

I don’t understand your comments. It strikes me that you’re saying that NOTHING - $38 billion or $61 billion - matters. Get real! That’s just a version of political nihilism!

Well, the only cut was in the size of the increase. Boehner needs to be honest with the people about what he “got.” Which adds up to less than nothing against the debt. Inside the Beltway, this is actually an “achievement,” a “big win.” I don’t have anything against Boehner but let’s face it, he’s not really part of the solution is he?

My experience tells me that MOST freepers think this is a long fight to the death. I wanted $100,000,000, not 61 and not 38.
Nevertheless, the real fight starts now. Before we condemn Boehner to Hades, let's see what he is made of.

Exactly, Tea Part is crying because he sold the American people out and took “ defunding health care” off the table, etc, and when promising to cut 100 billion from the existing budget, he took a cop out of 38 billion, if that is really the amount! We just paid in over 52 billion in interest on the budget. Washington keeps on being Washington! Here is your crumb, now sit down and shut up and let the progressives continue to take your government away from you, after all they know what is best for you!
