I imagine either the DemocRATS or the Republicans won. I do know that Americans lost.

If the republicans are going to cave over so little an amount how can they ever come out on top on a bigger budget?

I had been saying that Obama and Reid had lost... not anymore.

Just another nail in the coffin.

They cut 38 billion out of the 1,500 billion deficit. People have to be stupid to think anybody won.

Conservatives won. Not as much as they would like to win, but they still won. You know, I am tired of hearing people write about how they didn’t get as much as they wanted. I would’ve liked of gotten more, but we have to take what we can get right now. The next stop, the senate and then the presidency we have to have them all before we can get exactly what we want.

even then, we have to deal with the judges. Look, we’ve had to deal with liberalism for about 70 years, and this will not be won overnight. Rome was not built in a day, and we will not win everything and immediately.

Some on our side counsel keeping our powder dry until the GOP presents their 2012 budget. THAT’S worth risking a government shutdown over, they say. Go to the mat for the Ryan plan.

I however have gotten the distinct feeling that the Congressional GOP does not have the stomach to shut it down under ANY circumstances. If they would not do it now I have no faith they will do it later, or ever.

What was the alternative conservative proposal in this particular case? I saw anywhere from $60-100 billion in cuts instead of the $30 or so from Boeahner or the -0- starting point from the dems.

Seems like for this particular battle even the most conservative option was still pissant compared to the deficit.
