“As I understand it it wasn’t a surprise discovery of votes. It was just a mistake in what was reported to the AP”

That is completely correct, which is why this whole thing is SO hilarious! Even the Democrat in charge of that precinct said the numbers were correct.

I was lurking at DU and read a poster who is personally involved in the recount process, and, much to the chagrin of her loony lefty fellow DUers, she is saying the votes are there and the paper trail is intact.

It was a reporting issue, not a voting issue.

That doesn't mean the Dems wont try to manufacture voting fraud, but as of now, there is nothing there.

Undisputed Facts:

1. People in the city of Brookfield, WI, voted.

2. City of Brookfield submitted its totals to Waukesha County on election night and posted the same numbers on its website on election night.

3. County elections clerk failed to include Brookfield election numbers in her county totals.

4. County totals showed Brookfield with 0 (zero) votes????

5. Error noted and Brookfield numbers added to county totals.

6. Totals reported by Brookfield and added to the amended county totals match exactly.

7. Clerical error only.

8. Rats/union thugs are rightfully screwed.

No “lost” votes were “discovered.” All that happened was that a totally UNOFFICIAL communication of vote tallies sent as a helpful service to the Associated Press was incorrect. That’s it.

The AP numbers are always unofficial. What in the world do they expect the AG to do?

I think that the AP needs to be investigated...someone is feeding numbers to the Dems telling them how many votes they need to find to win. It is the AP that didn't notice the error and now the Dems are crying foul even though there were reporters in Brookfield that had the correct numbers the night of the election, just not the AP reporter. I think that Tammy might not want to draw too much attention to her own home county of Dane when it comes to vote fraud...or even just down highway 12 in Sauk County.

“Obnoxious in victory, bitter in defeat. That’s the rat way.”

No truer words were ever spoken! I was in the comment section of the Milwaukee Journal website Wednesday evening and the taunting and mocking by the leftist basturds was over the top when they thought klappie had eked out a narrow victory. After learning about the unreported Waukesha ballots I thought about posting a comment to these union creeps A NOTE from “the Donald” that the good people of Wisconsin have spoken and “you are fired.” They are pathetic at best and evil at worst.

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is asking for a federal investigation into the surprise discovery of 14,000 votes in Waukesha County for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

You notice the MSM keeps trying to go with the "surprise discovery" of ballots as if all of a sudden 14,000 ballots were discovered ala dimwit voter fraud. The truth is the ballots were counted but failed to be reported when totals were submitted to the press. They were never "discovered", but the MSM never lets the truth get in the way of a good story.

The dems have lost this one but they will keep trying to weasel their way to victory. Sorry, dems, but all an investigation is going to come up with is a sh** load of dimwit ballots manufactured to try to come up with a lousy 204 vote lead.

Exactly....actually, if the stupid Dem candidate had waited unti all the votes had been checked before declaring victory by 250 votes, there would have been no problem. OF course, that was her aim... to declare victory before all the votes had been counted.

It has nothing to do with the votes not being there...it was that a whole precinct’s votes were not included on the tally sent to the AP. The votes were always on the offical lists. Even the Dem who was there the whole time agreed with the official figures. NOt only that, the press should have caught it because the city’s votes were so incredibly low compared to the rest of the turnout in the state.

Now, if they want to get upset because she made the clerical error to the AP...that’s one thing. But should her clerical error to the AP that was properly caught before the official certification results were in negate the thousands of votes cast by the city in question? This was not a case of finding votes in a box in somebody’s trunk!

Thanks PapaBear3625.
The Wisconsin Democrat sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Friday night asking him to assign the Justice Department Public Integrity Section. It oversees the federal prosecution of election crimes.
I'm in for $5 on the recall drive against this beeotch.

Head fakes cannot be tolerated from conservatives. The rats must be permitted to report the final precincts. Head fakes hurt the poor, women, minorities, labor cartels, trial lawyers, environmentalists, and every other leftist interest group.

I may be incorrect, but exactly where does Holder have standing into investigating a state election?

The office in question isn't federal position. Would not the State Attorney be the first one to investigate election fraud ?

http://www.justice.gov/02organizations/about.html

Mission Statement:
To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

Somehow I missed that part about watching over "my people" and "investigating close republicans wins"

Yes, I witnessed the rare reasonableness on DU as well, and was very impressed with the soundness of the explanation. I'm almost suspect that this poster is a conservative "troll" trying to inject some sanity over there. The inane attacks on this responsible poster is very telling, though.

If some at the DUmp are "getting it," I think the Left's stupid arguments are in vain.

Wisconsin Election Turnaround ‘Unprecedented’ Says Union

By John Semmens: Semi-News — A Satirical Look at Recent News

Wisconsin union officials are calling the post-election correction of an error that converted a 200-vote deficit into a 7,000-vote lead for the conservative candidate, incumbent Justice David Prosser, for the state Supreme Court judgeship “unprecedented.”

“In every other instance in which previously uncounted or miscounted votes have been brought to light it has been to the benefit of the progressive candidate,” claimed Christine Lamitina, spokeswoman for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) of Wisconsin. “Is this election in Wisconsin going to be the exception that contradicts a well-established history?” Lamitina appealed for President Obama to “step in and right the wrong that’s been done to the working people of this state.”

SEIU Vice President for Politics and Growth, Bruce Colburn vowed “unrelenting efforts to restore victory for Joanne Kloppenburg. We spent millions of dollars and millions of man-hours to get her elected. We won’t take ‘no’ for an answer. We will takeover the streets. We will clog the courts with lawsuits. We will shut this state down if that’s what it takes to get justice for our cause.”

I had heard that the only problem was that wrong numbers were given to the AP, but the accurate numbers existed and are just fine. IOW, all that happened was that the numbers from one area were omitted from the totals given to a news organization.

Question nobody seems to be asking: does the election clerk have a legal obligation to ensure that accurate numbers are given to AP? As far as I know, the numbers are given AP as a courtesy, and the clerk is under no obligation to give ANY numbers to AP. No duty = nothing wrong done.
