I agree with you.
That is the problem!
I have been watching how WashDC works for almost half a century and with few exceptions, haven't been satisfied with what I've seen in America's political arena. Under Bush43 the GOP squandered opportunity after opportunity. Republicans are in a good position to inject some real fiscal discipline into the process. Led by conservatives and with the help of Independents and Tea Party activists, the GOP House has a rare opportunity to break the beltway status quo.
Obama increased federal spending 25% of GDP since taking office. This so-called deal that Speaker Boehner struck with the Dems covers just a fraction of that increase.
I don't expect Boehner to overplay his hand like Gingrich did in 1995, but the Speaker has been following the Bush43 playbook. The Office of Speaker of the House has great power and influence through its own bully pulpit. Instead of letting the Dems demagogue and use propaganda to their benefit, Boehner should be making his case to the American people and expose the Dems for what they are.
Never have liked Boehner, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not anymore. Boehner has shown he is not capable of leading the GOP House. His efforts have shown a failure of leadership.
There's a special "bridge funding" trigger which can be used for 3 days to get us to next week's vote.
Ah, I’ve heard of that. The bridge to nowhere.
Well, in this case the bridge gets us to the vote.
Well, in this case the bridge gets us to the vote.
Right. Like I said.
Don’t agree.
The RINOs are like the cretin that led Xerxes’ troops around back of The 300.
Every fight counts. Abandonning the field of battle permits the opposition more room to choose the next engagement. There is no compromise.
Boehner, you are giving away the high ground of 2010.
Then again, 0bama/Reid/Pelosi/Schumer, etc., have routinely held our troops hostage in order to advance the totalitarian agenda. They’ve done it on every important legislation, from 0bamacare to the Stimulus, etc. Gee, do we need more troops in Afghanistan? Let me see.......
Spread us thin across the globe, and cut funding for bullets and required equipment. Stretch the supply lines so thin that our troops then become the ones to pay with their lives for anything the Republicans and conservatives want. You want.....NPR defunded? That’ll be......50 lives. You want......Planned Parenthood (aka, a piece of the Black sex agenda) defunded? That’ll cost troops on the ground in Libya supporting the rebels and training known AQ. You want the budget and debt paid down? That’ll cost you $8/gallon gas, offshore drilling, 30% food inflation, and $1T per month in spending. (Which Feb did, by the way: http://scottystarnes.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/u-s-treasury-department-federal-government-spent-1-trillion-in-february/). And we’re not even talking about off-the-books accounting or ACTUAL dollars being spent in toto.
Soros wants us destroyed by our debt, and so has Erskine Bowles playing the inside game. Then again, 0bama’s December fat lip is producing results now, isn’t it. And Ayres et al will get their 25 mm dead, if not 2.5 times that. ‘For the children.’ But not the families of the connected. Oh no. It’s a transparent, open-society thing—which requires only that you kneel.

ITS NO DEAL, ITS A SELLOUT
